Xenon Kit A4 Avant question

I am slightly confussed about the bulb sensors in the B6 A4s, i have found two sets of HID;s from british sellers, one is just a normal kit with slim line ballasts

the other is for CANBUS equipped vehicles, but makes specific mention of bulb checking circuits

Obviously there is quite a difference in price.
I know these are technically illegal for the purposes of MOT, but i have heard of people getting through. Any of you had success at the MOT with these fitted?

I've had at least two, if not three MOT's with both HID's and LED sidelights and it's never even been mentioned.

Guys, Quick question...
How hot does it get inside? i've managed to fit all the cables inside the light unit but its very tight.

The ballast is in the OEM positition.
Rest of the cables including the error canceling block inside the ligth unit. its a bit messy..

Justreally want to know if it will be too hot?

I know these are technically illegal for the purposes of MOT, but i have heard of people getting through. Any of you had success at the MOT with these fitted?

Mots are about the only thing there not illegal for,
its the road there not legal for .
