Hi, everyone in less than 3 weeks I will do a K04 replacement that is smoking, and would want stage 2 map on her, since I had downpipe, 120 cell and all the hoses replaced. my first question is how much do they charge at AMD Essex for stage 2 Revo, I had my stage 1 from them last year, and secondly would they do the stage 2 without having a FMIC? I know I have two small ones as standard but funds are not available for a big FMIC, so they would have to do for now. thirdly what figures would I be expecting to see on a good day, before heat starts to soak in. ignore the doubted torque mentioned in the sig below. :)

Yes you dont need a fmic and should be £50.

p.s get a fmic ;)
 
Thank you guys, and you would know figure wise? did you feel the difference, I understand it is not as obvious as standard to stage 1 but surely you must notice something..
 
I went to AMD and had a 007p dv, panel filter, and stage 1 map and got 255hp. ive just been back there last month to have a forge TIP and all boost hoses, full milltek system race cats etc, 4 bar fuel pressure reg, cone filter, and a stage 2 map and is now producing 269hp, mine is running fine with out the fmic, alltho i will have one fitted before the summer comes.
 
Stage 2 should have fmic and mods else its not the right code for the mods..
simples..

I woudl not have flashed a stage 2 on a car which did'nt have supporting mods.
 
Revo's stage 2 map is not coded for a FMIC though. Revo said it is not required but would obviously benefit the map.
 
like i said, no problems from mine, as an fmic does not actually gain you bhp, for road use imo, i think your ok until you get it done, obviously track days etc are another ball game
 
Hows the n75j working on yours now as your Revo stage 2, you hit limp mode. I just installed one and hopefully going Revo stage 2 in next few months and want to keep my n75j valve
 
I put it on mine on the weekend and it defiantly made a noticeable difference. My car spikes pretty high but holds more boost than before all through the rev range.

I think my n75 was dodgy anyway but it has made a very good improvement to my car, just hope I dont hit limp mode

Aw thought you were running Revo stage 2, my bad. Just wondering have you got any decent videos on youtube of your car. Would love to hear a full Milltek
 
If you could that would be ace.

I hate the sound of the S3 exhaust as standard, cannot hear anything from the inside, just loads of turbo spool on mine lol.

You haven't got an amd sticker on the back and was driving back on the m1 a couple of Sundays ago was you?

I'm gonna do a Revo Stage 2 next year, should be fun! I've got the SPS 3 Anti-Theft control sitting at home waiting to be used :)
 
Looking forward to Stage 2 myself. Should be done and dusted by the end of the month.... :icon_thumright:

Can not afford it at the moment, I thought about it, just don't have another 450 for hybrid and at least 300 for a different map, this was the easiest option I guess.

yep looks like iv been spotted, went to santapod for the weekend straight from having my stage two parts fitted from AMD,
must of spotted me on my way back.

Yes mate I was obv in my car you may have seen black s3 plate s3 ruv. Was going through Luton part on the m1. Car looked very nice mate. Was wondering why there was sooo many evo's and scoobys on the road that day.

What's a switch-able map? Who supplied it?

So you running stage 2 with a hybrid?

No I meant are you somehow running stage 2 with standard turbo no fmic ? Or running with hybrid but no fmic
 
cannot believe your still rolling with that signature 312 lbs/ft of torque is simply not do-able on a remap

stage 2 hybrid turbo no fmic yet when i get this done everything else is done inc engine internals....then stage 3, if i am not satisfied after stage 3 mapping, turbo is coming off, then going BT, 4K spent last year and all done by believe it or not aston martin in leeds :rockwoot:switchable map done by AWSOME GTI :icon_thumright:

Very nice looking car, and love the sound, I wish mine would pop like that, but it doesn't I dont know why maybe I don't have enough pressure created or running too little boost for the 3" system, Dave which cruise control stalk do you have is it VAG or after market one? I have one on from previous owners, and I notice the chnage in torque when it is activated, so I was wondering if it along the same line as yours.

its the standard cruise mate, if you have it hold it in for 5 secs then epc should flash....

sorry but thats just wrong
higher boost, and they say it does'nt need FMIC?

thats trying to sell software if ever I heard it
ill advised

why ask more from the car than it can effectively cool?
it will go slower..

makes no sense to me
