cheers guys, appreciate the comments but im just not sure!
the tyres are 235/35 and there is a slight rub, when boot is packed and/or thrashing it slightly,
do you know if the 'rub' would be completely eliminated with 225/35 tyres, and could i run the car
safely with different sized tyres front to back?
cheers.

ps. i have already removed the screws inside of the arch, which definately made a difference!

215's might eliminate the rub but you are looking at a whole host of other issues. ie.: blowouts and handling issues if you push your car. http://forums.fourtitude.com/showthread.php?4856109-It-sucks-to-roll-hard-(-120mph) It may depend on what tire you use and just how low you go. I find that I will probably be selling mine later this year and go back to 18's at 8" as opposed to my 8.5".

I am running Marangoni Mythos at 225/35 and they rub on H&R springs with FSD's... had 4 ppl in the car and I even rubbed under acceleration if I tried pushing it a little bit. Have you tried to remove the screw holding the bumper to the fender? That seems to help a little bit sometimes...

Personally I don't think the look to big. I love the look of my 19's, I just hate the rubbing and performance loss. Mine are about 50lb with the rubber on and it is a significant power drain.

Do you know what offset your wheels are? I ve got my hands on a set of 19's in 42et offset running the same tyres as you have, I have been told by some members that they will rub, I just want to know is the rubbing bad or is it just a light skiff when driving hard? Cheers

the only reason i kinda want to keep the 235 is because the sidewall is slightly bigger and as im only lowered 35mm so it doesnt look like a moon buggy as much..lol i can get 225's cheaper though...

Is there a text number to vote for if it looks good or crap? :moa:

Is that Nigerian a relation by any chance?

Oh OT: Did your kid win the bonny baby?

thanks for your input. Do you know if it is ok to put 225s or 215s on the back only while still keeping the 235s on the front?
Cheers

NOOOOOO!!!...

That would look a bit ridiculous IMO.

Car looks good as it is the 225's will not rub all that horribly unless you often have a lot of ppl or cargo in the car.

Marty, I've removed the springs from my S3 and I'm in the process of swapping the tyres from 215's to 225's. So, I'll have a set of 215/35/R19's Falken 452's up for grabs at some point next week. Only 1.5k on them. If you're interested, maybe PM me so I don't get into trouble for trying to sell in this thread! Car looks good by the way, 19's every day.
