They're fugly as hell, but bet the technology in them is pukka, yes I'm a tech whore.

Personally I cant stand BMW vehicles at all, not because I have used VAG since 97, but just cause the cars dont do much for me overall & I've test drove a few including 2 generations of M3, 5 series, X5 & they just well wernt anywhere near my expectations.

Thing is audis will no doubt become more bland because all the control of options, tech will go via the screen, so no need for loads of buttons/dials/climate panel in the future, voice control will start to take over more aswell as we go on IMHO.

I'm selling my B7 in a few weeks, and thought about a 530d Sport - Think they look the bee's-knee's but that steering wheel, looks like something from a 15 year beemer!

I have owned a few bmws (325, 318 and 130i) and i can honestly say that the S3 is by far better, dont get me wrong loved the 130i for the sheer power and rear wheel drive but that was before getting 4 wheel drive and as much power....

Agreed, have an X6 as well as my S3 and I leave the fanny-wagon for her every time and don't like swapping. Audi over BMW all the way.

I have a very soft spot for a nice E30 and can acknowledge how capable some of their sportier cars are but I just wouldn't buy one. Not sure what it is about them but they just don't flick my switch
