Hi,

I am having some issues with my A4.

I have a multitronic 1.9tdi.

When the car is in D or R the car vibrates but as soon you put it into P or N its nice and smooth.
When the car is in motion, ie when doing low speeds and when on the motorway I do feel a very small amount of vibration
Makes no difference if the AC is on or off

No CEL errors - checked with VAGCOM

Multitronic Oil change -

1st one @ 39k
2nd one @ 60k
3rd one @ 79k (Done 2 weeks ago)

Wheel sensors have been cleaned.

I think some sort of mount is gone, maybe a gearbox mount?

Any advice on this?

Thanks

Is it juddering on take off ?
as you probably now, there is an issue with the input-shaft on the multi-box, needing the seven clutch up-grade
especially on high torque diesels...

How much is a new 7 plate clutch?

I had a 1.9tdi sport with multi-box, it started juddering on take off, but not from cold...
Had mine done at, Driver Transmissions, mosely rd, B-ham. £1000., which was about the best quote, and good service, had it back the same day !!!

The car also vibrates (Pendulum feeling) when on the motorway.

I'm hoping its a engine/gearbox mount.

If you put it into neutral and coast but keep the RPM ., high, is it still there ?
to check if it's Multi-Box related...

Just hope it is.

Do all A4's have engine mounts with solenoids that stiffen up?
My scan on vagcom did not flag up the engine mounts.

Might be the gearbox mount - fingers crossed.

I've not tried that. Will try it tomorrow when I drop the wife in the morning (Roads will be clear :) )

Cheers mate.

I hate to say it, but that could be an early sign of transmission failiure as happened to me earlier this year. Look out for PRND on the dashboard flashing or acting erratically. It could very well be the clutch plate issue with the 7 plate conversion and I'm sure you must have heard of inde-tech in milton keynes, by all accounts they seem to know their stuff.....

The Gearbox ECU was replaced when the car had 40k on the clock (Done by Audi).

Heard of Inde Tech and not too far from Leicester.

Will see my local mechanic for the mounts.
