A trip to Matt Andrew's this morning saw my TT-S shifter finally installed, been waitin for this to be done for a while now. But Matt was free and he finally made time for me :sly: This mod couldn't have taken place without Nigel's write up & advice on the phone, so big shout out to Mr NHN for always tryin new things and never afraid to learn :readit:

It's completed my dash now, just need the re-trim next and interior done! What you think? :wub::wub:

The part no. for this is 8J2 713 139 G VDE it was £107 from TPS, although as the TT-S box is a different shape we used my current leather gaitor, I wanted to use the TT-S shifter as opposed to S3 as I wanted more variation for my OEM + theme, so I now have TT-S/RS6/RS4 parts inside the cabin :ninja:

Here's how the car is looking at present after a little wash today :laugh: Side Skirts are waiting in home and its off to the bodyshop this week, I'm getting there :shutup2:

Looking Good Nate as usual but i feel the wheels are due to be replaced no?
 
Looking really good N8, loving the interior seats and lighting, and the rest of the kit just sets it off a treat. Not sure it needs a re-trim, but nothing ventured nothing gained.

just wondering if i can be cheeky and ask where you got the helios alloys? cant find them anywhere online thinking of getting them or set of bbs

Thanks for replies guys. I had tints before and got pulled over and had to have the fronts taken off, I don't like the taxi driver look, so its all the way round or not at all. To be fair I don't miss them at all now, I just like driving round hassle free, Police often stare at my car, and I stare right back as they can't pull me over for sh1t!! :moa:

There is 2 reasons why I'm goin for a retrim Warren. A) Too much wear on front bolsters, as my rear seats are BRAND NEW B) Its not the same colour black as the back, theres almost like a weird greeny ting to it, well those are my "excuses" to retrim anyway!

Yes the BBS CHs are goin purple when the trim goes in. But the Helios will go for a refurb and come back out later in the year.
 
Very smart bro. Love the idea of purple CH's too. I'm glad you're not afraid of colour on rims! I take it you're just retrimming in black? You tempted to do something with the colour of the backs of the seats? I had a go of a DSG Golf R the other day, really like it. I could conceivably do a swap what with the saving I made on the new S3, hhhmmmm. The DSG box is so smooth.

I'm not scared of anything man. I'm going full purple retrim and purple rims, CHs for now, then if I go air I will invest in some SERIOUS show rims :wub::wub: DSG is lovely man, I'm gonna leave the seat backs standard for now as they will be a nice contrast against the purple anyway.
 
Sounds great. Purple will be a good match to your car's colour. I look forward to seeing it once it's all done.

Hopefully ill get to see it in person this year at a couple shows if i get my mk2 finished

Yeah actually I only want the top plastic sline insert as its the same shifter I installed anyway, audi are copying me, copyright infringement I hear, lol

TBH the TT vents are so much better than the S3 ones as they're actually metal for 1, 2nd they're not as bright interms of shiny chromey & blend alot better with the dash colour, really was one of my best mods tbh.
 
Its your mother, she'd love it if it was a nissan sunny dash lmfao
