Well Stage 1 lasted about 3 weeks!:tocktock: Just ordered the Milltek cat back and downpipe etc and now after the Forge CAI which is on the classifieds. Decided not to both with getting Audi to fix the misfire problem.

So what gain am I looking at with just stage 2 from stage 1?

I think in July I will go Stage 2+ as a little birthday treat for myself!

Mate spin180 has a itg cai for sale and i have a evoms cai for sale if your intrested ?

Ohh, well I have sent a message too the other chap but if I hear nothing I will let you know!

I also have a Dbilas CAI for sale to if your interested?? Decisions decisions eh lol

The order of efficiency/ max gains is

1. ITG
2. Evoms
3. Dibilas

ITG is new to the market but highly rated, Evoms tried and tested, Dibilas is reportedly not quite as efficient as the other 2 but in its defence its quieter as enclosed so a more stealthy approach.

Plenty of choice then :)

Cheers Spin, have prices for all 3 now, just wanted your opinion on the forge CAI

cheers

Ended up going the whole hog and now have stage 2+. Makes a massive difference over stage 1. Chaps down at ADS at Preston did a very good job.

Popping down to Awesome Gti on Saturday too see what its doing on the rollers. Just need to keep myself away from the KW's!

Any probs with the clutch yet?

Glad you are happy :)

I am sure you will put down some good numbers on the dyno.

Cheers, it will be toned (boost is lowered) down a a bit as I had one misfire just like at stage 1 so the valve springs still need changing.

Went out for a spin in this before. What an animal! Love it :icon_thumright:

Hi waring, I also have a REVO'd restyling S3 with a stage 2 and i have a question for you. Bearing in mind the problems with the valve springs that some remapped restyling S3 are having, how does it feel when you suffer this issue?and how can you solve this problem? I just wanna be aware of it!

Nowadays my car is running ok despite some problems with the OEM clutch that I have solved replacing it for a Sachs one.

When your clutch starts slipping I would suggest you to replace also the flywheel!

Thanks!

Hi Tortel,

Since the test run I have not had any misfires. Boost is set on 8 at the moment but should be on 9.

The exhaust and or intake has defiantly helped with the issue. Its going into Audi on Tuesday for a couple of days too change the springs so will report back when its back and when its running boost 9 again.

Yeah I will be getting the sachs clutch asap.

Ok, but how does the car feel when you have the problem with the valve springs?

With Stage 2 Im running boost 9, fuel 5, timing 6 and it goes OK.

Well the problem seems too have gone now, still not turning the boost back to 9 till its back from Audi. The ecu used to limit the rpm to 6.5k in 3rd gear.

I also have a little stutter while cruising at any speed. Not sure if its related to the springs but quite afew on the forum have it. Infact I might put a poll up too see ahow many have it.
