S3 Prop Shaft

OK - I have finally resigned myself to the fact that my prop is ********....



Two questions:

1) Does anyone have one kicking around that they are willing to part with.

2) Are the propshafts off of a 1.8 TQS and 1.8T TT the same as the S3 item?

This isn't a helping comment I know, but you do seem to have the most unreliable S3 on earth

My other one is OK.... They're not that bad - I just bought an unloved nail and am now paying the price. Still - it will be a whole new car I'm done so it's not all bad!

mine has now developed a knocking noise front passenger side when going over uneven roads its driving me mad did you ever get yours sorted?

Nope, still a bit clunky. I've got new top mounts at home, and am going to get new bottom ball joints. Hopefully one of those will sort it!

i think i will put mine into garage see if they can tell which parts to change as
i dont wont to be swapping a long list of parts till i find the fault.
or is that what the garage will do anyway

Depends if the problem is obvious or not....

Mine isn't - but everything that I've changed wanted doing anyway to be honest so I don't mind.

what do you mean your prop shaft is ********?
the uj's are kaput?

have you noticed something out of the ordinary through driving, or having a butchers at it?
