Will S3 Recaros (front only) fit in a b5 S4?

I only ask because I'm hunting for a b5 s4 and plenty don't have the recaros, which are a must for me! I've been looking on eBay and, unlike my allroad, none are coming up!

Any ideas and/or will other recaros fit? From a later model maybe?

Later model A4 seats will not fit, they have a different runners.

i doubt it will fit from an S3,probably some welding will need to be done to the rails.
Also quite rare to find recaro as was an optional extra on the S4's and where available on RS4's i also have seen one on a A4 once.

I'm still toying with a seat swap on mine(front only). As Byzan advised me a few months back, anything can be made to fit by simply welding the oe frames on x y z seat. At the moment I'm contemplating some 2009 cream bmw 1 series seats.

Perhaps they are for a 2007, but not the earlier model - I could have bought 3 sets in the last week alone. I'd rather avoid the stealers as my mod list is long and that would slow it down some.

Beware what he means by "anything", as width will be an issue at some point. That was why i asked about S3 seats as they sb smaller whereas the later model 4 series will be larger.

the frame maybe smaller but my fat *** can still get in the S3 recaros the same as the S4 recaros. have owned seats from both and as far as I can see the seat itself is identical.
can't see recaro making two seats almost the same with slight differences in size. too expensive.

Width wise, too narrow is not a problem , but too wide (say s8 recaros) its not an issue. Just a bit of good ol fashioned fabrication.

by the time you have fabricated all the bits and runners to fit you will be way past the cost of buying some S4/RS4's

there is a set for sale now on AudiSRS, think they have gone onto ebay now, the price is a bit ambitious in my eyes, but seems prices have picked up.

At the rate that I'm going with the insurance companies, I might not need to bother. I can get £450 on a modded RS4 but 900 on a modded S4 - go figure!
