Anyone else stuck abroad at the moment? We are in Malaga, were supposed to fly back on sat 17th, now booked on a flight on 24th. Gotta praise easyjet, they've put us up in a 4* hotel with meals included which is jolly good of them. I'm really glad we didn't fly with a certain Irish budget airline, their passengers have to fend for themselves. My only complaint is the weather!

My friend is in Benadorm and has the same problem he is due back to work this week but is not back till next :s I hope you get home safley oh and by he way, the weather is soooo nice here :moa:

My mate is stuck in Vegas, he's having a laff, but he's also struggling to find a place to stay, as all the vacant hotel rooms trebled in price due to this, so he's just chilling out in casinos and bars. lol

l was lucky, missed this by a day or l would have been stuck in Dubai.

Id rather be stuck in Dubai, sunshine, nice cars and cheap food, what more could you ask for??

Oh ok beer and women!!!

^^^^

That could work out very lucrative or very pricey lol

Tyler Owen, you used to be a member of pug306.net by chance?

And back on topic, luckily i'm not stuck, but I know plenty pf people who are. Also heard a news article on itv website about a neighbouring volcano which has also erupted the last 3 times this one has. And it's fair to say it could be described as its big brother, saying that it could be 100 times more powerful! :O

Will planes ever fly again do you think?

Hopefully people will finally see what a bunch of sh*tbags Ryanair really are and never use them again, I cant ****** stand them! :)

We left UK on Thursday bound for Budapest (driving) when the dust cloud hit the airways. On the way out we picked up a friend at Gatwick who'd planned a holiday but obviously turned back for home. As luck would have it (if you can call it that) a frustreated, well-to-do German business man was at our friends' ticket desk moaning he couldn't get to Frankfurt. I said, jokingly, I'll give you a lift. He offered a £500 deal lol. So a passenger until Frankfurt, sorted. So, if there's anyone stuck in Budapest we're headed back tomorrow lol.

Im the total opposite stuck in the UK should be flying out to Egypt for work but cant just great been at home for the last 3 months due to personal reasons and was looking forward to going back but hey what can i do!

I'm not stuck yet. Currently in Abu Dhabi for work and ment to be flying back Thursday. Not going to hold my breath tho!

A mate of mine drove back from the alps in a series of hire cars, slept in one at the ferry port before handing it back then caught the train from Dover to Cheltenham so he could hand in his dissertation tomorrow. Personally I'd have taken the week-long extension the uni are offering anyone stuck overseas!

One of my mates got onto a flight to Canada this morning. UK airspace was open last night at 10pm I think, and he drove it down to London to stay over at another mates, then headed for Heathrow once he got the green light. He'd planned this holiday 3 months ago and kept cursing for the last week! lol

Just got back today, have been stuck in Norway since last Thursday.
2 day trip ended up 8! Was VERY lucky to get a connection, right place right time.

The whole thing has been a shambles.
Conflicting info, inflated prices for alternative routes and last minute cancellations.

Heads should roll for this mismanaged managed debacle.

Paul
