Just sold my car! So this is goodbye lol. Picking my new car up tomorrow so the timing was peerfect! Got near enough what i wanted for it, learnt that mods don't get you anywhere as it sold for what a standard a3 would had.

Forums has been a huge help and I hope to be back in the future with s power or more!

Very nice mate, Oak Green is suppose to be the holy grail in colour when it comes to Mk2's, but I think that's changed in recent years. I'd like a GTI G60 in Aubergine, but they are so rare and expensive!

Thanks for the replys, had a nightmare when i looked at it, person wasnt there, waited 30 mins and he turned up. He broke down ! lol. AA man jumped him, we went to halfords and bought a new battery as it died again, started first time after this.

I cannot belive how fast it is my mate was saying " its well fast when we was only on 3000revs, told him to get up to 4k and floor it he was as stunned as i was! You can tell how excited i am lol.! My A3 wouldnt touch it. Very good handling too. But it is filthy as he didnt have time to clean it as he broke down! just drive 90 miles in it and hasnt missed a beat. Think i need the fueling adjusted as a family friend who used to buy and restore then said its running lean. Will get pics up tomorow, after a clean and wax.!!

And just need to ask something, its got a new rebuilt gearbox with a stainless bolt diff? I asked him if this was a limitied slip diff of some sort, but he just no theyve used stainless as it doesnt rust etc? I think it must be, as ive gave it a launch 2 or 3 times, and it doesnt wheelspin and doesnt hardly move in 1st gear but when i changes to second its grips almost instanly and just takes off? Surely it should wheelspin alot if giving it a launch? Also jojo, what tyre pressures are you running?

Don't know off the top of my head, what ever is written under the fuel cap, with an extra 2psi on the rears. I'm running Koni top adjustables anyways, and tracking set to parrallel, with maximum camber each side, so it handle great anyways.

The stainless diff bolts you mention are put in to replace the oe rivets that secure the ring gear to the diff carrier, as apparently they are a weakspot in the 020 boxes . Heres a little bit about it if your at all interested! http://www.brokevw.com/020diff.html
