Another tyre thread - GY F1 Asymmetrics on long back order

I need some rubber for my new BE wheels.

I previously had F1s on my LCR and MPS on my Boxster.

I was going to go back to F1s as there are appears to be good write ups of them. However, I can't find them anywhere. Spoken to a few place and they say that the F1 Asymmetrics in the 225/40/18 size have been on backorder for over a month.

So what can people recommend, go for F1 GSD3s or anything else?

Damn as I am going to need a pair soon - I wonder what is going on.

Just going to have to eek my fronts out a bit longer.

The guy at blackcirles said he had read that there had been a recall on a batch but that this wasn't official

what else shall i have a look at?

Well I quite like the GSD3 as well if you can get hold of them, ran them on my previous wheels and my Mrs has them on her MX-5 Sport.

Have you tried Vredestein's mate? I normally purchase F1's but recently changed to Vredesteins Sessanta's.

Very impressed and cheaper than the F1s IIRC

Try Camskill tyres, ordered mine last saturday evening, arrived Tues am. Mine were 225x19x35 Goodyear F1 ***, £140 per corner.
