Hi guys,

The rear wiper has packed in and i cannot even get the wiper arm off... I have taken off the bolt holding it down but i still can't get it to budge. Can anyone give me any advise on how to get it off and roughly what would be a good price to get a new wiper motor and arm?
Have seen a couple on ebay for £70 but thats just for the motor.

Thanks
Ash

me in the same boat mate, soak it up with wd40 over night and wingle it , mine still not coming off ,there is this tool u can buy to get it off, or windscreen shops... autoglass etc will have it

Alright lads iv had the same problem with mine and had to physicaly pull it to bits it was that seized.the washer pipe goes through the wiper body an corrodes the innerds poor design realy,
you might as well dismantle it because it will be well ******. the new wiper motors have been revised to prevent the corrosion issues.honnestly if its as bad as mine was no end of wd40 will work.depending on your style the look quite cool left out and a gromit in the whole i tried it b4 i put the new motor in:icon_thumright:

if anyone needs a wiper motor ive got one for sale in perfect condition.

how you get to the wiper motor? i took off the 2 screws behind the boot lid, but the grey cover wouldnt come off, i tryed pulling it out really hard too but no luck

I'm in the same boat too. My wiper has packed in!

I'm just going to remove it tomorrow and not bother replacing it. Do the Halfords grommets fit the hole? if so, what size? Thanks.

when i did mine it was in a million bits by the time i got it out honestly....rough but careful is the way to do it pull the cover off the back of the motor then jus start taking it to bits slowly!!i was at it for hours rather me do it than audi theyd of charged silly money and will of used the sam method as me ha.Tap the spindel with a bubber hammer but just be careful not to break the window (the saying is)if in doubt give it a clawt :icon_thumright:

Iv got a box of grommits so im not sure of the size give me 10 mins and il go to the garage and have a measure... id of left it but the woman twinned on saying she used it oh dont forget to clamp the washer hose up:icon_thumright:

rite m8 it was ither 20mm or 25mm in not 100% sure since it wasnt a perminant fixture i removed it ond put it back in the box i can remember the one i put in wasnt deep enough for the for the depth of the glass but it did fit spot on i suppose a little lip of clear silicone wont go a miss to mak it water tight:icon_thumright:
