Hi, I am looking to buy an s-line spoiler and was wondering how hard it is to bodge to fit a 3dr 2004 sport? And what sort of price are they to buy as i can find any genuine ones.
Cheers

I paid £194.50 for my S-line spoiler from my local Audi main dealer, but bare in mind that you'll have to have it painted aswell at extra cost...

I got a replica one off ebay the other day, but have decided to sell the car and upgrade to an sline. I paid £70 for it, so if you fancy it feel free to make me an offer.

I would go oem spoiler if you can.

Fairly easy to fit. Just cut off the 2 lugs and bond to your tailgate. I believe the 3 door sline spoiler uses your existing brakelight, so you only need the spoiler.

I tried the ebay spoiler thing, and ended up getting a s line one for perfect fitment.

Got a pic of yours fitted now scottie ?

Sorry Paddy, only just seen your post :)

im looking for an sline/s3 spoiler for my sport also right now. they definately need it.
was just going to go down the ebay route but the oem one looks like it fits better. (theres another thread on the go with pics).

and paddy if thats your car i think you might need to straighten that s-line badge or am i being silly?

Yup Paddy, I think the s line spoiler is defo what you need :)

No its the picture...for some reason the right hand side is smaller than the left...look at the rear right wheel at a silly angle. i seem to have got a fish eye effect on the lens ...:)

You do. It makes a big difference to the back end I think:

Looks like you had the rear arches flared there Pete ! are you using spacers as well...I feel like spending a few bob on her now she is finally going for her ECU flash tomorrow. If it solves the problems i can get interested in this car again..

Im guessing that petes spoiler is votex, as he has the votex rear apron and side skirts on.

However, I may be wrong :)

Could well be, I wasn't aware there was a difference....

Arches are definitely as Audi made them! No spacers, those are ET50. My 18's and my soon-to-be-fitted new rims are a lower offset so will sit out a fair bit more. Hope all goes well on your big day tomorrow!

Stop teasing with the wheels hints Pete.

When are they going on and when can we see them? :)

I think one has the brake light in and one has a cut out for the std light to shine through.....not sure though ?

Paddy, let us know how the ECU flash goes, really interested if it sorts it out!

Can see that now paddy, weird lol.

And I think diff between votex and s-line is tht the votex has like squared edges at the sides and s line is more rounded. Think that's it. If you look you will see diff

I have spoke to a few audi dealers on the phone now and they are all saying you have to buy the whole boot lid to have the s-line spoiler... im sure this is not true as some people have stuck the oem s-line spoilers on sports.
They cant seem to find the spoiler on the system alone. Does anyone no where i can get the oem s-line spoiler and a price?
Cheers

As I said in my first reply to you, I paid £194.50 for mine from an Audi main dealer and that was only about a month ago so I would expect the price still to be the same!
Easiest way to do it mate is to go into a dealership with the registration number of any random 3dr S-line which has the spoiler fitted that you want (have a look at ones for sale on Pistonheads etc to get a reg. number) and just say to them "it is a spoiler for this vehicle that I'm after". They will be able to tell just from the registration number, exactly which type of rear spoiler that car left the factory with as main dealers work from reg. numbers!

You have to modify it to make it fit a non sline. That is why they say you need a proper tailgate also.

Easily done, just cut 2 pillars off

Ok cheers guys, il pop down to local dealership tomorrow.

My car in post 9 above is an s-line.....so you would have to modify it to fit an s-line as well if your car is pre 2006..only the later s-lines had the holes in the tail gate anyway.
