As it says really...

I have the dough, I have two things i want done, 1) replace all shocks with Blist B8s and new top mounts as the cars original shocks etc are tired and shes sloppy 2) Revo remap

I cant decide which to do first, shocks arent urgent and remap definitely isnt.

so no cop outs! no, depends what you want mate's:no:

Just one answer...map or shocks???

If dampers are urgent then might aswell go for them.

Otherwise map as its the most useable mod you can do.

Remap - you'll soon poop yourself afterwards and realise that you definately need shocks too as your car wants to carry on straight when turning the steering wheel ..... :redrs4:

It's a vicious circle IMO, if you start with good handling, you soon want more power, more power and you'll want better handling, either way, start talking to your bank manager....

This basically!

remap

so you clear the hedge and land in the farmers field

Save up and get both at once mate, then it would be heaven!

If you had to choose though, get the suspension done first, so you can get use to the better handling, then make use of the remapped power when the time comes! :racer:

I'd get my shocks dont first with new ARB. No point in having all that extra power in a walloy car!

To be fair though, you can use your power anyday....You arent going to need to use uprated dampers going to work each day.

which you will be doing when you put your foot down with the remap

maybe it take a lobotomy or a total lack of car knowledge, maybe ive just got a tiny willy, but there is nothing worse than attempting to go fast in a car with bad/unco-operative damping. its a serious defect if the damping is bad and can very likely see you off the road, hence i know what id do

Pay for the shocks and put the remap on the credit card, it's only about £400 for the map, bit of dedicated saving and it'll be paid off in no time...

Any normal day I'd say remap with out doubt, though if your suspension is that bad then really you've got to do both...:)

Depends on your driving manner I guess. My days of whizzing around corners are over, it doesn't interest me any more + the car will not be tracked.

So the only wish I have for the car is a little more push while on the motorway/local bypass. Standard shocks being perfectly adequate for this.

Personal choices, but can see the obvious benefits to both.

or do the remap with rtech and youll be able to get them all at the same time?

seems to have 'evolved' that my present shocks are totalled, they arent, just tired, as are the top mounts, front especially so Im not driving a dangerous car or anything, she only went through an MOT 8 weeks ago.

I just couldnt make up my mind where to place my cash first, but my gut always told me suspension first, and i think I will go with that, better to have the car generally in good order before i 'play' with it. Im using B8s not so much as a mod, but ive just had a good vibe from the forum that they are just a better shoch than stock...no?
