Well this week i've fitted a LCR front splitter and a set of 18" BBS CH reps so i thought i'd post some pics - and yes the next mod is Eibach springs

I've just painted the plastic wheel bolt covers black which weren't fitted when taking pics

Cheers cal - still not 100% on the wheels as i think they'd suit a darker colour car? i was going to get either RS4 or the new RS6 reps but they all looked too shiney as well

looks lovely rob  can i be cheeky again and ask where you got your bbs reps from i have been lookin at these also but most sets i have seen the centrcaps are plain, was the splitter hard to fit ?

cheers
gary

looks good mate.

Will be a LOT better when you get the springs on. You gone for pro or street eibachs?

Hey Gary
I bought the wheels from Sorted alloys in Barnsley, he sells a lot of wheels on ebay - http://stores.shop.ebay.co.uk/SORTED-ALLOY-WHEELS__W0QQ_armrsZ1 total inc swapping tyres from old wheels £389

The splitter was quite straight forward, i used a dremmel to flatten the tabs which stuck up (so it didn't sit flush to bottom of bumper), then cut down the 2 pillars in the centre by appros 15mm (otherwise the middle sits too low - not straight) then used self tappers to screw it up to the bumper, i used 2 longer screws in the middle which fit through the 2 pillars (they're hollow) to pull the middle up :icon_thumright:

Hi Scottie

i'm looking at the Pro - are they the ones that lower 50mm? i think it's a little higher than usual now as i only had the wheels swapped yesterday and after jacking the car up i don't think it's settled back yet? definately needs a drop anyway

I believe the pro are 30mm, street are 50mm.

Remember though, these are measurements from standard suspension, so as you have s line suspension, you need to knock off 20mm from either of them measurements to give you what real drop you will get.

By the looks of it, I would go Street! :)

Ah i got them mixed up - so street will drop it 30mm (compared for the SL springs)?
Just need to find somewhere to buy and get them fitted in west yorks

damian at dpm will sort you out a good price on them I am sure.

If you already have the springs then, it will make finding somewhere just to 'fit' them a lot easier.

Remember, it is also a good move to get a laser alignment done after fitting the springs, as it will all change a little.

I fitted my springs myself, and then just got a full laser alignment done at a local STS pro garage

perhaps the 50mm ones are called sportline......I'm old and my memory is pap!

I got my springs with eibach dampers of ebay s/h.

I am considering getting the 50mm drop ones though myself, as i need just a little bit more loweridge!

Looks great Scottie, i guess it'll look better slightly lower

Are you getting the S3 pedals? and don't forget the silver indi bulbs to clean up your headlights :icon_thumright:

Looking good, once the springs are on I think it will look perfecto! :icon_thumright:

Once the cars lowered to a sensible height, the wheels will blend in alot better trust me, as they will be nearer the wings & match up nicely as the black gap is what makes them look weird atm.

Thinking of carrying a few bags of sand in the boot and under the bonnet to lower it for now :w00t:

4NT - do you have any pics of your car side on with the Sportlines?

Lmfao, guess whose back, back again, tell a friend, lmfao

FFing too right!

Especially if your missus looks like ^^^^^^^^^^^^^
:scared2:

The lord can't help, but give these guys a call.................

Sorry.

I didn't mean to offend.

In light of one of your recent threads, if you catch my drift, I did find that strange to post up fella, you know me I like a joke, but.....................................enough said from me anyway fella.

OT: Guess the brake pressure calibration worked then.

The centres came with the wheels - centres were chrome plastic then the BBS badges are domed stickers - can usually get them on ebay :icon_thumright:
