Thats just the usual cover their *** statement for different laws in different countries.

Firstly,it's worth taking a look at the size of this thing, which is about 1/3 of the size of the OEM S3 intercooler, and whilst it looks well made enough,I can't see any benefit over something like Forge's add on Twintercooler, and I'm sure most people know what I think of add-ons.

Next,as devonmikeyboy rightly says.....what car, what previous mods and what do you intend doing next?

Surely it's best to not only have a clear idea of what you want to do with whatever car it is,but also to look for the right parts for the job first.

im looking at getting 350 bhp. got revo map and dv etc. so ino next kind of think is fmic and hpfp. i see your runing 365 bhp. any think else you got? and has your clutch gone? or have you a uprated one?

What car are you driving?

If it's an S3 then you don't need an aftermarket intercooler until you get above 400bhp,and for that you are going to need low compression pistons, stronger rods and a few other things incl a bigger turbo.

Mine has been on the rolling road lottery and turns out about 360+bhp...it feels about right in comparison with other cars I've had with similar or higher outputs.

If you're using a standard clutch, that will chuck in the towel fairly rapidly over 310bhp/300+lbs,and its the torque that kills it.
Like many others here,I have the Sachs clutch.

I seriously wouldn't be too keen on the FMIC unless you go above 400bhp,and I would still put my money on a single large uprated intercooler, than an add-on piggy-backed onto the existing one....if most of us get to 360bhp+ without it,you don't need it,as this is about the ragged edge of what the stock turbo is capable of flowing in gas terms.

yer its an s3 8p. so a hpfp would really take it past 350 bhp? what mods you running altogther?

OK....my list is much the same as everyone else's here.

Sachs clutch.
Milltek exhaust
CAI(you can choose from Forge,ITG,EVOMS etc etc)
HPFP
Revo Stage 2+

That's about it.....mine makes over 360bhp on the lottery, and as I've said it does feel about right(I had a 440bhp Sierra and a 360bhp Escort previously...both were dyno'd and the S3 feels about right on power).

You need the HPFP to run Stage 2+,as without it,you get a large dip in midrange torque, and the HPFP will jhelp smooth that out as well as delivering sufficient flow for higher power levels.

Once you get about that, unless you're really interested in the minimal difference between 360-370bhp,and possibly 380bhp,you don't need an add-on intercooler.

To get over 400bhp you do need a bigger turbo,RS4 injectors,a remap, low compression pistons and tougher rods, and possibly new head bolts.
You may also need to consider cooling upgrades for oil and water, and you will definitely need better brakes.

That's easily several thousand bucks, and it isn't worth cutting corners with as you WILL have trouble soon enough.

Do any modding in stages unless you can afford the whloe thing in one go,and I would start with a simple remap and exhaust.
