Right ive done a search but cant find anything on this.

Ive just bought some s3 brakes for car but im not sure they will fit under my 17s.

Can anyone shed some light on this, i dont want to spend all that time fitting them to find they dont fit under the wheels.

Thanks

Yer mate, it was the only way forward after crashing the 8l

No point with 17s mate - you will slide and skid about the place and the TC will be on all the time!

Plus, it will look silly, the arches are massive in the 8P's and will look lost!

The carriers/calipers are pretty big and are even a tight fit behind my 19s

Change your avatar and get some pics up, you got much planned?

Got air on its way, currently looking for wheels

@Boydie
I dont intend on keeping the 17s for long, i am looking for 19 s-line wheels at the moment, but i was just wondering if i could fit the brakes before i got the 19s.

Unfortunatley you will need at least 18's for them to fit.

Not true. Same brakes as a 3.2, and the Sport 3.2's only had 17's.

Why would the car slide and skid with 17's? Same 225 section tyres. A higher sidewall will nto cause the car to skid about the place.

I'm sure they are less of a tight fit behind your 19's than you think.

^^^^ I agree with what V6Pete just said ^^^^

Yup, I agree too. Larger wheels are more about looks than handling due to a larger unsprung mass. You will have less sidewall flex which will make it turn in quicker but it may make it twitchy if you go too low a profile IMHO

Should fit no problem, I had them on mine with 17's for winter

I just stuck a pair on my BE with no problems. It has 18's but still had room so I don't know why they would be a tight fit behind 19's?!

If it makes you feel any better, I managed in just under an hour. It wasn't that bad since they are a direct fit. Only thing that confused me was when I bled the brakes not a single air bubble came out! Do these have an 'auto bleed' system somehow or something?!

Would be good if they had a auto bleed system becuase i dont have a bleed kit yet lol

Where you gettin that from?

Voodoo motorsport, were doing the offer over on E38.

Thay made it hard for me to say no, at the price they were offering it for.
