porsche carrera and ST whooping

ST, mapped, from 70 (at a camera) was left by my S4 in 4th. id been toying with him (it was a her actually) for a while, i didnt even bother to downchange as coming off the previous roundabout i nearly went into the back of it

good thing my S4 is an estate because i need the space with my massive peni

had a chat with the woman at the next set of lights. first thing she said when we wound or windows down was "thats not a normal estate is it.."

:) cheers Matt :)

sadly Martin it is a sign of the times, - thats life, get over it ;)

Tis true enough, I get the little buggers all the time, I think its actually that they fancy me though, trying to show off. :hubbahubba:

In another world, my sport which takes place in the ring, big shots are turning up all the time, usually straight from the pub thinking they can sharpen their already 'hard' skills down our club. In the last 3 years just 2 have lasted a month out. I thinks there are similarities and its mainly due to testosterone. ;)

I got whopped by a E46 M3 last night, 2003 plate. Empty dual-carageway about 1am.

2nd/ 3rd gears rolling... No god dam way lol. Didnt think they were -that- fast. t.b.h. but christ.

Had me smiling from ear to ear too :) :)

All in the name of fun

erm, they are quick but ive played with an M3 before and wasnt far off him to be fair, and my next car was always going to be an M3 because of their reputation...i wouldnt put that and a 911 in the same class and my mind is completely turned.....

sure theres a member on here who swapped from an M3 to his S3......for fun they look and sound great

My 2002, BAM / stage 2, K04 does run out of puff after 5k. Mid range is all she has.

Its wasn't sole destroying by any means but he had me by 4-5 car lengths by the top of 3rd.

Sounded abit tinny. I guess some sort of aftermarket exhaust as they go that way after changing from standard pipes.

That right?

Joe

Yeah they ain't great for having a2.5 the mk1 Rs is quicker and better handling and on got a 2.0 litre I prefer the s3 4wd and only a little 1.8 great car

The only reason I wade in to these threads is because of the porsche and bmw fraternity that hog the fast lane. I am ****** to high heaven with the small todger that blew his top when I undertook him on the M1 last sunday. What a ****... Funny watching a 320d M sport yoyoing in my mirror. Sometimes I wonder weather I am compensating for something else... Till I realise, I bought a diesel.

But back on topic, I neither condone dangerous driving, nor recommend others do as I do sometimes when the red mist rises... But... It is funny watching a 57 plate boxter struggle to keep up with a 9 year old 130pd.

Please be mindful that no matter how much of a halfwit the OP came out looking like, neither the S3, nor the 1.8t, nor the 1.9 130pd are slow cars. Something I learned a long time ago is; the figures on paper never tell the full story. My 1.6hdi C2 VTS taught me that one... Not far off a clio sport in the mid range... I would also like to add having had a focus ST as a comapny car (in my car sales days)... The turbo lag is phenominal... IT IS A VOLVO T5 ENGINE AFTER ALL.

Lol and this is why i love ASN! Did feel a little sorry for the guy, but i guess he should of knew that the porsche wasn't racing. I laugh if his car really did have some mental stuff done to it without him having a clue! My car would beat a porsche though, i mean it'll easily overtake the porsche whilst im doing 70 and he's doing 60! :)

hahaha! funny shizzle.. i gave up after page 3!

tho, i was racing a zonda, a couple lambos, rs3 porka, and a arial atom yesterday and i proppa whipped there ar$es. I was in my Audi.

NO NO NO NO im serious..... i really did win!

this isnt a god given you know, a mapped S3 will take on some of the lower end Porsche..... you sound as though we dont stand a chance against any of them, i can tell you quite catagorically - your wrong if you are thinking that

I'm not for a second going to suggest that a remapped S3 is ever going to beat a Porsche 911, however i do think that some people underestimate an S3 once remapped, it maybe a case of taking it for granted and getting used to the power, i dont know...

But since owning mine i've been suprised on more than a few occasions of how close i have come to keeping with some major competition. The latest without going into to much detail was a brand new Scooby Sti hatchback, on paper they do 0-60 in sub 5sec's, and yes he definately had the the initial pull on me but as we both gained momentum their really wasn't as much in it as i expected. Considering this is a brand new rally bred close to 300bhp motor i didn't think that was to bad for an apparently fat over weight 10year old Audi... :)

Mate, i know that. I've been in a mapped S3 and it makes me want one so badly!! I didnt imply that a s3 was not capable of such things, just mearly joining in with the banter! :)

Its all relative, we all know that, power 'curves' are different for many cars and each car may have an edge at different points on the curve. Another example is the seat leon FR tdi i once owned, I had it chipped and it really did pull like a train...but only for a small part of the rev range. Rolling, from 40 to 70 little in the realms of hot hatch could beat it. Type R civics would gun it and still have the heavy black smoke of my diesel in thier faces. Once past 80- 90 though just ran out of puff and wouldnt have thought it would have made 130. It was 150 standard and guessed at 180 with the mod which was switchable. Coming out of corners, without needing to change down was fab, pulled so hard on the twist it left a mates beemer 325 way behind, whilst he was searching and changing down, i was just pulling in 3rd or 4th. It was like a scalectrix car, just push the throttle in and out...whoosh

Watch them little buggers when your racing lads ;)

Very true Martin G... I don't care what the car is, never under estimate anything, especially not an audi. Unless if it is a 1.6/1.8 n/a lol.
