not the usual hourly "what remap thread", this may be able to end it all..

have any of you arranged a meet in the past to line all the cars up with the different maps (and a standard one) to see which is capable of what?

a simple drag race ought to show up what the differences actually are

According to Tim (1animal1) and Jim White (Jimmeh) from here, they have lined up the CC and Revo'd cars before and saw very little in it.

Can't find the post (because I can't be *****) but sure one will post up in a second. Tim usually follows me around the forum ;)

yup, thats the spirit

then APR and CC and Rtech and whatever else

no point for debate after that

As requested.... you could say i follow you around to pick your mess ;)

yup me and Jim did a few tests against each others cars, at the time the were identical apart from his silicone TIP and 007P valve, oh and mine is BAM ;) ..... which wont make any diff in theory, we tested on the A1 from various speeds up to various speeds..... one thing we didnt do was standing start but i wont do this now especially as it requires skill more than map IMO, plus i dont wana ruin my clutch after that £1250 bill :)

I think I remember you saying the revo pulled better from lower speeds and then top end the cc started to reel in. That right tim?

Exactly how I read it Rav. But by centimeters.

But of course;

Just outside Bridgewater there is an old airfield, totally not highway! they do carting there too

I reckon someone (not me) should get in touch with somewhere like the Shakespeare County Raceway to see if an ASN event could be organised...

yes mate, although it was as sid, such a small difference....tbh ive not re-read thethread we put up - safe to say i wasnt displeased with what i had and neither was Jim...testoment to both maps i guess

but it wouldn't be scientific proof would it as every car would have to be identical bar the remap you'd only get a general idea

have you been there and seen the potholes up to the venue ? must be a moonscape now what with the recent pothole creating weather

Its not outright power/speed, its how its delivered which is where they differ, thats all.

im sure youll find a good flat piece of tarmac if you really look

was out in an rtech car this morning after sorting a hurried running issue. on a certain "benchmark" hill it saw about 100* or so, about the same as my golf. about 20 short of the s4 though

*unknown unit of speed
