Taking them to get re-coated tomorrow as 3 of them got damaged...now do I go grey again (which I do like) or do I go for stealthy black?. Gut feeling is grey again but I thought I'd throw it open to you lot too :)

Mate I would say your wheels are the perfect colour already. I would keep them the same personally.

Silver gets my vote tbh... the grey is nice though, black isn't stealthy ;P

<tuffty/>

I do like the grey but being as i have the opportunity for a change i thought i would throw it open for some opinions. Could go for something random!

white with florescent blue and yellow checks, topped with flashing blue dust caps! lol

then the next question is the dull look of powder coating or more finished look of sprayed alloys.....heard recently that powder is just as strong as paint too so presumebly that ist a consideration anymore...just how you want the look to be

My last coating job was really high gloss so the finish can be as good as paint. I think its a bit more durable than paint too, its certainly thicker than paint

Tom you going to the same place again??

Ive heard really good things about city powder coaters in Digbeth, they have an offer on at the mo as well, for £20 a rim, or £30 with the tyre on, so £80 or £120 respectively.

Check their website.....

digbeth... im going there Sunday for work!

thought i would share that bit of useless info!

Nilz.

Long story....but I was hugely ripped off by the Wheel Specialists...it was well over £80 per rim so all 4 are going down to Digbeth tomorrow morning for £30 a rim. I've also heard the Wheel Specialists sub work out so it stands a chance they were done somewhere else anyway!.

Yep thats what I heard as well, also heard that these guys actually do alot of work for other refurbers anyway, so it could well be the same people but cheaper....

Are you getting it done at the above mentioned place??

I sure am mate, £30 per wheel as they have tyres on. Going up in the morning to drop them in and look at colour options...although I think they're staying grey but you never know...might see something I like when I'm there :)
