Coilovers installed + S3 mirrorcaps!

Nate, ive send you an pm

weve bled the brakes like 5 times... 3 times with the powerbleeder from the garage.. en 2 times the oldskool pump on the pedal way... still a very soft pedal when driving and i have to really press them to the max to brake good.
did i do something wrong?

I also agree that this is weird because I never heard that the master cylinder is too weak from people that are running BBK, so I dont know what is the problem, even brembo have the 6 pot with the 380mm rotor in their offer and they do not advise changing the cylinder, are you using uprated brakeing lines???

P.S. PLEASE POST A PIC OF HOW IT LOOKS!!! :) :)

Nice to hear that, because next week im installing mine BBK and had me worried there for a second. but until now I never heard of someone having problems with the brake cylinder... :)

Your being nice to me for once, usually you criticise everthing I say! I've got R8 4 pot brakes, and S3 rears on my 2.0TDI and my brake pedal is beautiful and progressive, haven't had a single problem..

I am sorry if you got that impression... I really didnt mean anything bad, I respect you and admire what you done to your car and love it! nice work... once again sorry if I left that impression, no hard fellings N8..... :icon_thumright:

@ Deckedm - please post the pic of the Brake kit... ;)

Deckedm you made me very curious how would you rate the V-MAXX XXtreme coilover kits against Bilstein B12 or even B14. Many thanks!

Guys...

Talked to a mechanic today and he had a sit in the car and felt the pedal.. 100% he said bleedproblem... so we didnt do it the right way.. he said that the contact/engine had to be on, had to do something with the ABS.. we never did that :S
gonna have him do it this week, i did some serious braketests even with the sloppy brakepedal this babies brake like a mofo!!!!!!!!!!! insane!

Ive made some crappy pics during install..

here they are, ive also picked up my new wheels yesterday and im gonna run 19inch Porsche 997 Turbo wheels, just ordered adapters and have to wait for them to arrive, then its picwhoring time!!!!

Looks great! I cannot wait to see your car with the porsche rims!!

How does the coilovers worked for you? Any problems? I want the same setup for my S3.

Great post and dreat pics.... keep up the good work... how come you didnt go for the Porsche callipers??

Thankyou for the kind words ;)

Coilovers are very good, i didnt expect that... but theyre great!!!!!

Maybe installing the Cayenne calipers later this year...

they look great and i'm glad that you are happy with the coilovers. I have one question regarding them how did you align the wheels, i mean if you lower the car the camber will change, did the coilovers came with the new specs for the wheel allingment, camber angles etc?

When fitted you should keep alignment as close to factory settings as possible. The front camber is not adjustable, so it is what it is...

Thanks V6Pete for the useful info, still i would like an answe from the one who started this thread, how does it performs the V-MAXX XXTREME in comparation with the S-Line kit?

Many thanks!

Mine is regular V-Maxx - which should be slap bang in the middle of where the adjustable kit is. So you could adjust to harder than mine, or softer than mine.

My A3 on V-Maxx fixed damping rides no harder than my A4 S-Line did!

Guys thanks for the info but really i don't care the ride quality i'm only interested in how the car handles with these kits in comparation with S-Line.

Ok..... better.

S-Line doesn't handle as well as the firm rate would make you think it should!
