i havent cleaned the car big time since audi driver in october, my car is always washed come rain or shine every weekend so always looks clean anyway but i havent done any polishing or waxing for a while. so on sunday i thought hell with it, nice day and i had 4 cans of special vat lying around so i went and got to work on the car giving her a good clean.

i used a paint cleaner(megs) to remove some of the ***** in the paint then proceeded to polish then wax. next week she will be clay barred ready for GTI and treated again but for now i think she is looking good and getting back to her best like last year. cant wait to get a random polisher and practice on some spare panels as usuing the meguairs is good but i want a better finish with better products so ill be on the look out for one soon.

anyway here is some pics of the car cleaned and shiny. did the engine bay too while i was there and it came up nice and clean. all in all a good sunday........until it ****** down 2 hours after me finishing 4 hours on the car.

can you see the can of special vat in the boot lol

cool mate, oh a bit late but happy birthday!!

I'm Still recovering from Sat night. Thank's though. What brand of clay are you going to use as Meg's for me was breaking down to easy.

i just use the megs i bought last year, make the clay supple before you use it, i havent had any trouble with mine at all, wot lubricant are you using

I bought the Meg's clay kit . Had the clay nice and warm and it just started to fall apart i done the roof and back bumper and then had to trash can it.. I'm going to treat myslf to some new product's soon.. The wife's brother poped down for the weekend with his ............................ New car...........A..U..........D..........I........... A3 2.0 TDI S-line. I knew it would'nt be long,
Washed his car on sunday instead of mine, as he's car cleaning kit = 1xsponge 1x Halford's car wash 1x ICE polish. I said bin that lot, he said i used this stuff on my Mazda 3. Say's it all i said.

LMAO them sponge users huh!! im not surprised he went for audi colin with you on about them all the time to him ha. he made the right choice though and i can see him having that alot longer than his previous buys.
you must of had a duff clay kit dude, mine are supple as hell when i do it, i suppose any clay will do for it. kiddes clay or summin. i need to get myself some new products aswel as my megs are gettin low now and its time for a change i think. ill be on cleanyourcar.co.uk soon having a look at wot to get, be nice to get some advice off one of the detailing boys on here
