Anyone know? My local Shell garage hasn't had any for the last 2 weeks! When I asked the guy in there tonight he said that there is a "problem at the refinery". Anyone know more?

I was told they are refurbishing the refinery... good job I have been using Tesco 99 for a while :)

My area's fine, its just F'ing dear, went from 115.9p to 121.9p in a week, robbing t***'s.

I was told the same by the Shell garage next to Parklands Audi just out of Gloucester on the red so first time its had to have standard unleaded..!!!
 
Still plenty in Aberdeen, I think... haven't been for a few days.

Hmmmm, I went to fill up in Solihull today and they didnt have any either, however was told that they are expecting a delivery today....

use tesco super £121.9 :faint:

i reckon if there was a few of us we could rob a fuel tanker fast and furious style, hide it in a warehouse and have free fuel for a few weeks, who's in?
 
no v-power in the leicestershire area either, so had to use bp ultimate at the robbing price of £1.30 a litre!!
 
V-Power in all the stations round here!

My girlfriend drives across the Tamar toll bridge and then 10 miles into Cornwall to get V-Power! Makes her trip home from work on a Friday 25 miles longer haha!
 
Ive moved to liverpool recently, went to my local shell filling station, almost had a heart attack when i got there..... V Power £125.9:scared2:

I had put a fiver in and left sharply lol, at these rates i wont be driving anywhere, think a push bike is needed but the 25 miles to work ill have to set off a little early

1.23 down south - have stored 60 litres in Jerry Cans though
 
I ended up driving around the two shell garages in Cheltenham and then over to Gloucester and there was none. thank god for tesco 99! and thank god I dont live in Leeds, thats expensive!

the woman at my local shell said that apparently BP mixed the V power wrong for shell and had to make a fresh batch
 
Same here with the price hike up. Although there is one Shell garage a couple of miles away that is 3p cheaper and always has been . . . wtf?

Just a case of whether it is worth the petrol costs to get there for 3p a litre off!!

I hope you'll be using it within a month or so, unleaded petrol actually goes off after about a month!

As jardo said there seems to be plenty of V power here in basingstoke, although it's gone up in price by about 5p in the past 2 weeks.
 
Going to venture out in a bit to see if i can get some, usual are still out of it, he said that apparently there has been an issue and there is a shortage around the country of unleaded V Power!!
 
Loads of V-Power in High Wycombe, Bucks but it is 121.9 today up from 115.9 last week..... I think they call it "Legal Robbery"
 
I feel bad to say this but no issues with V-Power here and 118.9 a ltr....
 
I gave up on V-Power the last time they ran out,seems your paying premium prices yet they weren't delivering the stuff to the garages.........tesco 99 all the way
 
Haven`t been able to get V Power in Tyneside for 2 weeks.

Nearest Tesco is 40 miles away (I think)
Using BP Ultimate for now.

How the **** can a multi-national run short on its flagship fuel? Idiots.

Not sure if Im imagining things but the car feels a little bit more restrained when giving it the beans in RON 97 BP Ultimate.

None around East Cleveland either, infact no decent fuel apart from Tesco 99!
 
It was okay in kingston, filled up with V power and asked the guy about any shortages but he didnt know of any. Back in coventry now so i'll see if theres some shortage here. Cost me £1.23.9

Indiemike - that wasn't by any chance the Shell Southbound on the A565 Derby Road by the Vauxhall garage was it? They always charge much more for V-Power than the garages on the other side of that road. Robbing swines took £10 off me before I noticed their outrageous price a while back. :no:

I now stick to the ones Northbound - they're much cheaper. And they've had no shortage of V-Power over the past few weeks - I've used enough of it filling up before I bound back and forth over the Cat and Fiddle road until it goes all SPECS average speed on us.

The shortage might be something to do with the refinery though - we use tanker loads of Shell mineral oils at work and some of the grades have been in very short supply recently...

Soz Rav, it was the one on Stockfield Road in Brum, was in Leicester as well yesterday and it was sold out all over there as welll.
