tomorrow. any naughtys i should no about. i have tryed the search and nish comes up.

thanks..

also can cruise control be retro fitted like on the 8l`s?

thanks

Check Service History, Obviously HPI it!, See if its ever had a replacement Cylinder Head, you need to check the engine code. Audi had a bad batch between 2004 -2005. Make sure clutch isnt slipping esp if its been mapped. Good luck, hope its a good one.

why the cylinder head.... are these a problem on these then? should it of been changed?

Between 2004 -2005 Audi had a batch of heads that had a manufacturing problem causing them to be porous. The way I found out on mine was that the coolant level kept dropping. Basically, looses coolant under pressure etc. Lots had them changed under warranty, some, like mine, were out of warranty and the cost is around £2k. You may be ok, I was just unlucky, so thought i'd mention it.

As mentioned cylinder heads on early BKD engine gave problems which is the main thing to check. Then just the usual clutch and turbo stuff really.
03G 103 308 A years 2003 to 2005.55 allmost all cracked
03G 103 308 B years 2005.5 to 2006.6 only a few cracked

03G 103 308 C years 2006.5 to 2007.5 none cracked cracked

Thats only on the 2.0 litre CR TDis isn't it?

No. The problem was sorted by the time VAG switched to the PD170 and common rail engines.

Although your right, its worth pointing out that most of them were fixed under warranty so you would be unlucky to find one after 5 years still suffering. I would only buy an early one with a full audi history, that way you can check if it was done :)

I bought mine that had full history etc and over 100k miles and after I bought, its head went! Was out of warranty too. So yeh some of us are unlucky! At the time I didnt realise there were issues!

I think the only "issues" is the way you kill sorry i mean drive your car Sarah.:racer::asskicking:
