Are the buckets in a Mk5 Golf R32 the same as the 8P S3 buckets?

If not, will they fit an 8P S3 anyway?

Just looking for options other than £thousands at Audi or looking for the proverbial on ebay!

No they're not the same mate. Both Recaros and they should fit yeah. N8 is the man to ask though.

I'm sure N8 will be along shortly as I put the word 'bucket' in the thread title lol

I was wondering, If you worked for Audi, would you get staff discount on a brand new pair of recaros, I know they price up at somewhere between £3.5 -4k, but was just wondering...

Get yourself one of these, that'll definitely work..........

The R32 buckets are slightly different looking, slightly prettier! They should bolt in just fine, although I have no proof of it, Jules came close to buying an R32 Recaro interior, but it fell through. I know the Mk5 back bench is the same as the A3 one.

Matt's also wired in the electric lumbar and bolsters this evening, so I've got one over all you buckets boys now......:arco::moa:

Do you now have the inflatable sides working now as well, or will they only work in the RS4 itself?

It appears the R32 buckets are just as rare as S3 ones :sob:

Yes inflatable bolsters like the RS4 and lumbar also....

......at least I ain't got poverty spec buckets like all you S3 boys :moa:.........can't wait for my retrim now.....

As N8 mentioned i was very close to buying a set,but one thing that put me off
very slightly was that they only seem to come in a very dark grey and not black, but
still look wicked

He must be laughing. It's like sitting in an RS4 or an RS6. Plus when he starts up it reminds him of the tractors back when he was a kid in Bristol. WIN!

No, I think he's just saying that people from Bristol sound like farmers. :faint:

That was the joke..... aah well!

I can take the ****, my mum is from Bristol, but the posh bit where they don't sound like farmers :)

something akin to theh sneak shots of the rs5 buckets i hope

Ew no I hope not!

Black nappa is the most cost effective re-trim apparently. The standard grey is mega bucks

looks pretty cool.

I if I had buckets I'd have to re-trim them to match the grey leather inserts I have in the rest of the interior, I wonder how that would look...
