Hey guys, just a quick and maybe simple question? how do i find out the strut diameter on my car? Its an 04 A3 8P 1.6

Paul

If I was a gambling man I'd say 50mm.

Easiest way to find out is to measure it! It's the base of the strut where it fits into the hub.

yeah going for coils, i would say 50 myself but just wanting to make sure

I was thinking v-maxx coils, im relatively new to all this, so any advice is appreciated! :)

Pete is running V-Maxx and rates them highly, AP coils are meant to be very good and cheap, others use FK and Weitec all come in under £500.

I do indeed rate them, handles well, ride is great and they'll drop lower than most others too. Win win win!

haha thanks pete, think thats decided then!! i have some 18x8 LMs bought also, what size of tyre would you guys recommend?

N8 loves his skinny tyres. I'd go with 225/40/18 and a big slam!

Haha the two sizes I was thinking, will I be able to lower it as much tho with 225 40?

If the wheels are ET45+ then you shouldn't have a problem. Any lower and it might rub a bit.

Thats because N8 doesn't love rubbing.......rubbing =
