OK my rad has just spring a leak (bottom flange) :sadlike:and now i need a new rad, so would anyone know where i can get a replacement from, there are lots online with varied prices, but I'm unsure which to get.

After market ranges from £65 - £130 approx 2yrs warranty

Audi £149 + VAT

So if anyone has replaced theirs and has comments to make please do

Try GSF they may have one on the shelf.

TPS only supply genuine parts, which is fine if you're prepared to pay the premium. Whereas GSF generally supply pattern parts, by way of a comparison, TPS wanted £400 for an aircon condenser, GSF sorted me a Hella pattern one for £100.

cat auto and ajays are good prices to for pattern parts

do you have web addy's for these can't seem to find
GSF have one in stock for 54 + VAT and they are pretty local so could be back on the road tomorrow but I dont fancy wasting money on cheap **** if you know what i mean

no sorry mate just look then up in the phone book i had a price for a vw passat rad was £115 all in so would think around the same price.
they are good though im in thanet so only have the numbers for here but they are every where.
on a side note like my partner says we are not that rich to keep buying cheap stuff so some times it pays
to pay more rather twice not all will agree with that thought.

well i went for the GSF rad which turned out to be the same make as the one i had in the car:respekt: and at £54 + VAT thought it was a steal. unfortunately he gave me the wrong one :rolleyes:choice of two apparently (and I get the wrong one just my luck lately but thats life I suppose). So now I need to wait till Monday to get it changed

In fairness when I looked at my new condenser apart from being black, it was 'exactly' the same as the original Audi one.

Sods law you get the wrong one! Especially at lunchtime on a Saturday.....

yip just sods law, but at least I know they have the right one so should be back on the road Tuesday
thanks for all the replies which pointed me in the right direction:respekt:
