Anto roll bar upgrade - front and rear

Im looking to buy front and rear ARB's, upgrades with Powerflex or similar to stiffen my 1.8t sport. Who's are the best in terms of performance and value for money.

I know Eibach do some but who else.

Like I said Hotchkis are the ones you want but if not wanting to spend that much why don't you put the RS4 RARB on your B6? Front's are the same size.

If you want an RS4 one give me a shout or if you do decide you want a Hotchkis then give Grizz a call @ Unit 20 as he's only at the other end of the M56

I'm getting my RS4 RARB fitted next week - I've been told it "tightens things up a bit"

Leave the front as it is, and install an RS4 ARB at the back. PJMSpeedy will supply it, and it is all the modification you will ever need.

Hey Thanks for your help. I take it the RS4 ones are genuine ? and if so how much and do I only need to fit the rear ? What about the front doesnt that need doing? Does the new bar increase the ride height any.

The front bars are all the same as far as I'm aware.

Yes the RS4 ones are genuine and they are in the region of £80 from memory. It won't increase the ride height no.

no ARB changes will change the ride height - they're trailing bars, separate to the shocks and springs (which will change the ride height)....

I think the front ARB's are the same through the entire range from lightests (2.0 petrol) to the big heavy quattro'd 2.5TDI/4.2 V8... the RARB is the one that needs changing: if you get the RS4 version (i.e. the ones that PJM can source), it's an OEM part and a straight swap: and then it just keeps the car flatter through corners and less understeer: technically, less roll and less understeer can technically be more dangerous* if you're pushing the car hard and you're really inexperienced in a car with a turbo (TDI in particular), but it does add to the fun if you're ready for it Oh yeah....

*hell, it's not THAT bad: they'll sell a BMW M3 to any 17-year old with enough cash and a short enough wotsit...

There's no change to the ride height with anti-rolls bars. They have no effect whatsoever on ride height. They influence roll stiffness. As everyone here has said, you don't need to change the front bar. Increasing front roll-stiffness increases understeer, and Audis already have more than enough of that! Increasing rear roll-stiffness, however, reduces understeer, which is very desirable indeed.

I don't supply them. PJMSPeedy does. Send him a PM and he'll price it all up for you. As far as poly or standard bushes are concerned, I've no idea, but why does it matter?
