Guys as we're on the subject of air filters etc (im running standard OEM box with green cotton and drilled, trumped removed and smoothed and I love it!)

I have a fully enclosed Forge carbon fibre induction kit I'm going to be Ebaying soon hopefully tonight. Basically I fitted it because the way it was mounted/angle it put strain on my TIP which caused my TIP to collapse under full throttle even with my silicone TIP. The TIP collapsed where it starts to angle down 90deg down to the bottom of the engine bay towards the turbo inlet right in the top corner of the bend.

Apparently you can get special mesh to stop tip collapse but I didn't know that and can't be bothered as I'm happy with OEM now. I also have the cold air feed pipe for it but it got pretty mashed as I managed to feed it through the wheel arch liner through the tiny hole where the original oem air intake is. BELIEVE ME IT'S TIGHT! Had to take the passenger side wheel arch/fender plastic off to feed it through and it needed some flexing to go back on! Anyway as a result the cold air feed pipe is pretty mashed after being removed as you can imagine, but if anyone fancies giving it a go you can bid for it - kits worth over £150 so it could end up being a bargain.

For the hassle I re-fitted my OEM box... Just thought I'd throw it out there in case anyones tempted can post auction no. later.

the benefit based upon past tests has been longevity, in that you wont have to change it every service

confirmed flow increase over new paper oe filter.. not wow more but more.. and it wont drop off as rapidly like paper filters will as they blind
