When I hear about this sort of thing, it makes me really angry. God knows how you must be feeling.

Worthless scum should be rounded up and sent to afganistan.

Thats a fxxkin nightmare , glad your wife is ok ..............

Yep , absolute w&nkers the lot of them.

Got to get the locks changed on the house because they have her house keys and our address because they took her handbag with her driving license in it.

Hopefully they will die a fiery and painful death.

Sorry to hear it mate. Glad she's fine.

Has it always been this bad up that way and we just hear more about it or what?

:gun2: each and everyone of them needs to be shot and left to bleed! SCUM

Glad you and you're wife are ok!

The police reckon they were pros, and that she was followed off the motorway, and then waited for her to come out of chill factore. They were dressed all in black, and had balaclavas on.

They were caught on cctv, the other car they were in was a golf.

update - they've found the car abandoned in salford, dont know what state its in yet, find out tomorrow.

Oh man, i only live about 10 minutes from the Traff! Hope they find then guys, hopefully scene of crimes will get prints from the car!

For as long as I can remember the North West (Manchester and Liverpool) has always been the car crime capital of this country. I had a friend move up there when we were much younger (about 19-20) and he had a Ford Orion, he only insured it third party as he couldn't afford to insure it F&T too. I remember even back then we warned him that Manchester was not a good place to have third party only insurance on your car, and sure enough within weeks of him being there it was stolen and not a penny back for him. The contents of the boot was all his professional camera equipment too, silly and expensive mistake to make.

Its shocking really that the police still haven't managed to do something about it some 15 years later, and i'm sure it'll have been going for many more years than just what I can remember.

Gutted for the OP, but the good thing to take away from this is that it always seems they are happy enough to leave you alone and let you walk away with your life as long as you dont put up a fight. As is always said, as much as we all love our cars, it's just a tin box on wheels that can be replaced at the end of the day, loved ones can't.

Not good!!! Glad she is safe though....

****** hell. people have no shame! glad to hear the misses is ok mate! - thats all that matters, insurance can sort the car out!

wtf, hope she is ok mate, the people should be hanged

Echo the sentiments above. Bummer but glad your other half is ok.

Na, thats too good for them. What you need to do is get them to lie down with their top row of teeth on the kerb and then stamp on their heads.... Bye bye teeth. lol.

Anyway, moving on, gald all is OK mate, did the old bill reckon you'd see the car again? Hopefully they're better than the rozzers down my way. They couldn't find their **** with both hands!

I watched 'Car Crime UK' on ITV last night - Manchester featured quite a lot.......

So sorry to hear about this however im very relieved that your wife is ok a terribly upsetting ordeal im sure. I only moved to Manchester a year ago and so far i have lost a subaru impreza and a 306 gti6 to thieves. I hope the car turns up soon.

Awful!

Very pleased that your poor wife is unharmed, but the Manchester area currently seems to be very dangerous for any type of decent car.

Well said beanoir. :icon_thumright:

Glad your wife is OK julians.

History X huh, that would be death tbh, anyway moving on.

Feck me another one & this seems to be the same group as you keep hearing the same number of guys & description of the way the cars stolen & in the same area, yes I know anyone could do the same but seems very coincidental, easy money for them I guess, they only want parts anyway as selling the car unless shipped away would be a no no.

Shame & sorry to hear this, glad she's ok.

Apparently the police made an error when they told us they had found teh car abandoned in salford.

What they meant was that they saw it drive past a patrol car, but they werent in a position to follow it.

So, it looks like we'll be claiming on the insurance, and all the hassle that brings.

About time we had zero tolerance in this country now, getting gedup reading these things everyday.

Shocking, glad she is okay. That sort of thing can cause some sleepless nights.

Thanks for all the positive words.

We're all feeling ok, but its such a pain in the **** having to deal with the fallout, ie changing locks, cancelling cards, phones, dealing with the ins co.

Plus you wonder whether you should have a 'desirable' car again. I think we probably will, and not let the b@stards grind us down.
