09 S3 bumper and valance on 04 3dr

im comfused lol can sum1 send me a link to an ebay one so i can get it lol cheers guys :)
 
No thats for a 5 door and its still the old type! There are none on ebay at the moment, there rarely is to be honest.

Also, if you cant tell the difference are you sure its worth changing? lol

1. is a sport/ se bumper older style (see the bump strip on top of bumper)
2. is the same as above BUT with a s3 lower bit, (not genuine but a company makes them for these bumper) will try find the link
3. is a sline bumper (no bump strip at top of bumper)
4 is a 09+ s3 bumper,

to make (1) bumper to the (4) bumper you will need the upper bumper/lower bumper and the diffuser (3 parts)

to make (3) bumper to look like (4) bumper you will need the lower bumper/diffuser (2 parts)

oh and sorry for using some of the members photos here,(can delete them if any problems)

I am sure someone just fitted a diffuser to there car though. said they had to do some trimming but apart from that straight on. Any ideas on how much the 2nd part would cost?
 
NHN fitted an a s3 or maybe s-line defuser to an older style bumper. As said, needed bit of trimming.

so am i right in saying that this diffuser of an 8p2 S3 would fit a sline rear (no.3)

I have got to buy a replacement toe hook cover for my rear bumper, so might as well just get a new diffuser instead ~:)

i should have mine on monday to make 3 into 4 and it cost £90.70 in total, also gettin a pair of s3 side skirts inc fitting kit for £310:) cant wait to get them on
 
Would the lower part of picture number 3 (valance+diffuser) fit straight onto picture number 1 - or is that where NHN trim skills are required?

no thats for the older shape bumpers with the bump strips across it, its not a geniune s3 bit,thats the same one in photo2

Can someone confirm whether a 09 s line front & rear bumper will fit on a 54 plate older style double grill front, sport rear?
Is it a case of the same as the 2006 s line front upgrade of just bumper and bonnet or is it lights too?

Think you need the reinforcement bar that sits behind the bumper skin too bro!

Where did you end up getting the parts from?
I too have an S-Line and what to make it the same as the S3 8P2?
 
Yeah i'm also interested in coverting the 8P2 S-line bumper into the S3 version as it looks horrible imo

Part numbers would be great

And anyone who fancies making a guide will have my love forever haha
 
I am looking at putting an 09 s line rear bumper on, would it fit ok and would I need the 09 reinforcement bar. Sorry for bringing this thread back up , but I can not find the answer and I am going to look at one tomorrow and if it is a straight replacement I am going to buy it.

Maybe a stupid question, but to make Pic3 into Pic4 does any painting need doing or can you buy the part in the correct body colour?

(This thread is so much easier to follow now there are some pictures.)
 
has anyone got part numbers for the 09 facelift s3 3dr rear bumper parts to go on a3 2004 3dr?

This thread is one year old, no one really gave me any part numbers so ive not bothered with this much needed mod. Maybe someone can shed some light this year!?
 
Yeah I was having a bit of a hunt through old threads, I quite fancy an s3 rear, quite interested in finding out how much the non genuine valance is, could be a cheap n cheerful mod seeing as I've got the old sport style bumper...
