New aerial £50!!

Just got an aerial priced up from Audi at £50 just for the mast!! Does anyone know where else to get a suitable replacement?

I bought one of these because the rubber on mine had perished. Looks good, has 3 different lengths of center section, one of which isn't visible so it looks kinda like the one you're looking at and the reception seems to be unaffected :icon_thumright:

The only problem with these is they are solid alloy ones with no flex. I want to try and stick with the oem style flexi one.

Ideal, cheers :icon_thumright: It says they do a 23 and 28mm, aswell as the oem 40mm. Think I'll go for the 28.

Oops, that came out wrong... He gave it to me, as i was down there getting some other bits.
however, i cant see most scrappies charging much.

I got mine from Honda... seriously! The stubby black aerial from the type r fits the S3 base, i'll take a pics or something tomorrow if anyone's interested?

Yeah I have the same one, think its about £20 from Honda though, you can pick them up a lot cheaper on the bay!

I got mine on ebay, 5 pounds, black, flexible just a little shorter then the original, fitted and works fine.

i got one of those short stubby jobbers off ebay, cant compain for £7ish

have lost some reception strength but doesnt bother me as i hate the radio lol

Always found my radio reception was pants. Always loosing signal, static noise etc. Would a new one fix it or is it just pants to begin with?

mine was fine before with standard ariel untill some pikey **** decided to rob it that is!!

maybe yours is knackered, the ariel fitment is pretty standard see if you can borrow one off a mates car and see if it improves, ariel off any vag car will fit, hondas and toyotas too i think

The Civic aerial looks good and isn't bad no reception at all. Gets rid of that awful massive aerial supplied with most cars.

Be interested to see if anyone has fitted a shark fin as fitted to the newer A4s etc . . . ?

Just bought one from Motocare as suggested by Voorhees. Standard 40cm job. Will hopefully get AM reception now.
