get them off rimstyle for 1361 without tyres

guess i was lucky the person bought them for their R32 but never fitted them and had to sell so i got a massive bargain brand new in box with protection plastic still on them. They do occasionally come up on the bay

surely you have enough sets of wheels now you could run a different one in each corner

Just for the record, if anyone was looking for a brand new set of 19" CK's in anthracite... I've just sourced mine from Rimstyle (PW didn't have any in stock when i enquired). They had a couple of sets left i believe.

If i don't sell mine relatively soon i'm tempted to refurb them in black and keep them.

I did have one set from a cancelled order, CK 8x19 Anthracite these have just sold.

No more in the factory.

The Brilliant Silver 8x19 CK is in stock available £1140 per set.

...Nor me, i've got more sets than i need! lol

Haha - yeah I'm itching to get them on - will probably be Friday I would think. Service tomorrow, springs on tomorrow night, tyres fitted Thursday I reckon.

Nice one Paul. I had a serious think about these, got a nudge from Si and even emailed Philip at PW about them. Sticking with my anthracite CK I's as deposit was down and couldn't risk losing any more money. Should look smart on the SB. Looking forward to the pics.

I've been informed that Postman Pat has been :)

I prefer the ck2s they will look awesome :icon_thumright: get the car dropped and they will look great , Lucky guy getting them at that price im sure there about 2500

Well they're on - I'm really happy with the look.:rockwoot:

BUT

They're catching on the rear..........waits for I told you :moa: from N8 hahahaha

With no-one in the back either - obviously the Sportback rear arch / bumper set up is different from the 3 dr.

So be warned (as N8 has already said) 19" x 8J with ET44 and a 225 Tyre and H&R Springs WILL rub on the rear.

I've been out a took out the rear arch / bumper screw and am hoping that it will cure it. BUt the way the bumper return and the bracket set up is, it looks as though it'll still catch.

I've been on my back with the car up in the air and looked up and it appears as though it will still rub.

Going to give it a go tomorrow and if it rubs there'll be some 225's for sale and 215's going on.

I'll stick some picks up tomorrow - I went to take a pick and the battery died on my camera - typical

RAPS3,
Sorry to hear that mate. Very dissapointing.
I have bought the same size wheels with 225 in Anthracite but will be running standard set up initially before going to coilovers where i guess I will have a bit more adjustment than just with H&R's ?
Otherwise I guess i will be going to 215's as well

that's strange i had 9inch wide 45 offsett 19 inch with h&r's spring's and a 225 tire and mine never rubbed unles i had 5 people inside that were all 12 stone or more why does his rub but mine didnt??

Well, mine still haven't rubbed with 225. Either my car isn't as low as the H&R's go, or the coils are a lot stiffer??? Could the Yoko Prada spec 2's have thinner side walls?
Hope you can get is sorted easily.

@ Decked - I think the issue is with the sportback - due to the way the bumper connects to the rear arch. I've had a look at a a 3dr S3 today whilst out and the rear bumber connection is different. I dont think it has anything to do with the sidewall profile of the tyres in this instance.

@ willmac - I'd go 215's if I were you. No matter whether you run with coilovers or not. Ultimately your going to get to a point where under compression and rebound they ARE going to connect.

Here is the offender

As you can see on this close up - it just a say catches

I took the screw out - as some of the 3 dr guys have done who have had problems - but to no avail it still catches under compression, over bumps in the road

215's are the way you need to go with this offset with a 8J rim - trust me.

Glad I went with the 215's! Good advice N8 :icon_thumright: Would be good to see some pics Paul.

Here you go - I was going to wait until I'd took some proper pics as these are crap - but they'll do for now:-

Looking good but clean up those rusty hubs, a little smooth Hammerite will sort it:)

I trialled some 12mm rear and 10mm front spacers this weekend and I get an occasional rub on full compress/rebound. Its a real shame The S3 has such little clearance for big wheels

 - I thought the same whilst fitting the wheels - but was too impatient to get them on, rather than wait another day whilst the paint dried.

Will do them when i change the tyres over I think.

I the meanwhile I have a cure for the rubbing - turning the volume up  :)
