Would never risk getting mine done anywhere other than at a Specialist...
You get what you pay for.
Make sure ONLY OEM parts are used, not aftermarket parts. 2yr warranty on new OEM parts...
You should be looking at c£600 for a specialist including parts, labour and VAT.
Worth checking out Stafford Audi £395 for V6 including tensioner £79 on top to do the pump so £474 inc VAT for the complete job. Will be booking mine in even though its a two hour drive from where I live!
Anyone used these guys? The price is good and they do say they use only Audi parts so I am hoping it will be a pain free process......
I would look at getting a SPECIALIST wich uses quality parts as audi/genuine parts are not necessarily any better than the quality aftermarket ones ! Look for good independents who dont charge
an awfull lot on labour. I would like to say that I use Contitech cambelts kits wich contain OEM tensioners and 100k rated belts. Water pumps i use (KWP) also use genuine bearings but feature a cast iron/brass impeller for long life. I have fitted hundreds in the last 5 years and did not have a single failure ! I also know of tens of Dayco (OEM supplier) belts wich snapped in half on the joint line and since the dealer is either using Gates or Contitech belts (especially on high torque engines)... You guys need to get in touch with me as i can beat most quotes and i use only quality parts on every jobs. I never look for maximum profit but a satisfied customer, i buy parts at trade prices hence i can pass the saving onto you ! Regards, Chris- 077 899 12128.

If you know the guys reputation then yeah why not.
I had my Clutch done last week by BigJohns who used to be Mr clutch and they are **** hot, they do all servicing etc and I was amazed how many Audi's/Bmw/Vw's were in there but like I say, you gotta make sure you know about their Rep - Its like saying would you take your motor to Kwikfit for a full service!?!ha....
Sorry to jump in,my 18T as only done 18,000m BUT a 2003.Should i replace the cambelt?
Someone told me Audi never used state a time just milage, used to be 80,000m?
But when a few belts went before the 80,000 Audi set a time limit.
This is proberly bunkum,to be honest i think is was AA patrol patrolman.Thats why i thought it creditable.
