S3 and A3 Front Grill ! Help !

Hi
Im looking to de-chrome my S3 Grill but i want to keep my chrome rings and trim incase i want to revert back to standard or for selling purposes !
So iv been looking on ebay for second hand grills and theres a couple of A3 grills up for grabs.
But im not sure if the chrome surround/trim comes off on the A3 grill and also does it fit the S3 grill ?
Does anybody know ?

Don't know about how easily the grilles come to bits, but A3 and S3 items aren't interchangeable - one's a slat or two taller than the other - if you see what I mean.

Cheers rob , so what your saying is if the chrome surround comes off on the a3 grill then it still might not fit the s3 grill because of the size ?
i was under the impression that an a3 grill and s3 grill were the same size just that the s3 grill has smaller slats but more of them and the a3 seems to have larger slats but less ?

thats exactly why i want to keep my chrome surround so i can just change back when i sell or if i dont like the black grill .
so my s3 surround will fit your a3 grill ?

A3 and S3 grills are completley different parts mate if you have a look in the pics thread You will see

Dan I read before that you can buy just the surround on it's own from Audi, I think it just clips off

I've got the black rings but want to keep the silver surround.. see what that looks like eh

It unclips quite easy and suprisingly enough the clips don't seem to break, just use a screwdriver to gently leaver it off
