Just got back from my mates got out of the car and notice the pump is running when i got out of the car. Now i took it into audi to have the stat changed so im wondering if there was a plug that they have taken off while chsnging the stat. I also wonder if this is half the reason why my turbo has started to fail.

It might sound very strange ste but when you look at the after run pump there are 2 square holes, spray wd40 inside these holes. Mine has been on its way out since i bought the car nearly 4yrs ago, i think it tends to go dry inside. Once i've sprayed some wd inside it gives it some life until it goes dry again.

The after run pump is there cool the turbo down nice n slowly so if your booting it home then simply turning your car off it won't be helping the turbo at all, especially with the weather being colder.

Give it a spray and see if it comes back to life:)

not tempted to put some oil in there. itll last longer. WD is a water displacer primarily so wont last long
