This week's Auto Express has some 'real' officially released pictures of both the exterior and interior of the new A1. The article also says it will be available to order from May with prices starting around £13,000. Details are also given of the available engines and some of the options. Must say it does look quite nice, far better than the Mini.

I'm seriously considering the A1 and looking at the Auto Express piece it does look like the finished article. However when will the definitive detailsbe released by Audi i.. specs and prices?

At the Geneva Motor Show which runs from 4-14 March 2010. This will be Audi's official launch of the A1. Details should appear on the Audi UK website shortly after that.

£13k is a hell of a lot considering the A3 starts at £15,770!

I did think it would be pricy.

Audi do that, tempt you to spend even more money, especially adding a few options - 2k more up to the A3, then for a half decent A3 it's another 2k to get an A4, a half decent A4 then it's another 2k up to A6!

HMmm not so sure about that. I had the official pics come through on Audi desk top at work today. Lots of the pics were the same as these. The secrecy was lifted today by Audi.
