Hey All,

Been having issues with my S-Tronic 7 since day one in the form of Lumpy, Slow and causing vibrations when the unit would change gears. Audi have looked in to it too many times, admited the issue a while back, but no fix forthcoming from Audi AG. I lived with it until last week when I called them up and said "replace the box or give me a new car". They booked me in to investigate again.

Dropped off the car this morning and the Service guy checked my case notes to see if Audi AG had come up with any new information / possible fix's. He then informed me that Audi has just released a new software update for the box!

Thought I would post the information here incase anyone else has the same issues and did not know about the released update.

Thanks for the info, buy any more information? TSB, software versions, production dates of affected cars?

I just got my A3 back and it's like a different Car! I would say the new update has sorted 95% of my S-Tronic issues. Gear changes are smoother, the time between (rpm) changes seems to have been tweaked, down changes seem more logical - no more trying to go up hills / ramps in 5th gear! Responce times to putting my foot down also seem much better.

I don't really have any further information re software versions (Hatfield Audi don't seem to give much away) and am not sure what TSB is, but the update is for any A3 with a "7 Speed" S-Tronic box.
