Black alloys or not...........?

Been thinking for a while about Black gloss or matt alloys.. I have a black car and intend to tint the windows to.. Anyone got a black S3 with black wheels ?

Whatcha think guys ?

I had thought about doing the same, i have the old RS4 wheels and black S3 and thought about doing that and maybe blacking the windows. Then i thought maybe it would look a bit chavvy?
 
I think in Anthracite they would look nice like toms on his car.
 
Black grill surround and mirrors would look better, I think.
 
Black wheels on a black car is too much black. Get something in a nice stealthy grey to keep things dark but breaking up the black a bit
 
Im still thinking about black on black, so hard to decide though lol.
 
black would look awesome but so wud gunmetal grey, would look quite sexual

My missus bought me some black alloys for chrimbo. I quite like them for the moment and I couldn't really not use them could I?

Sorry it's not the best photo in the world, but it seemed to be really involved getting it on here and the car was spotless on Monday honest...

I have some dark grey 225TT alloys on my black a3. have just bought some team dynamic pro race 1.2s in gloss black. 2 of which have turned up, the other 2 still at the delivery depot i hope, bit of a **** up somewhere!
i'll try and get pics up of both shortly
 
Personally I think black on black is a bit too much. Black wheels on a red car looks mint Cookstein.

Go for anthracite or a grey. The clio 182 came in black with grey wheels and looks good so it should look good on the S3. I've also seen grey RS4 alloys like your and they do look good.

I have been thinking about this for a good 4 months now and i still dont know what to do !!!
Iv been playing round with photoshop for a while but im not that good at editing pictures.

Im not sure if i should get my avus refurbed and painted in the glossy black...or buy some rs4 reps and get them painted glossy black !
ill have a go at gray aswell when i have some spare time. Gotta be a dark gray though like people have said... anthracite !
I also like dished/lip rims but you cant really go an all over colour. Black with chrome polished lip seems to be the favorite for a black dished rim !

Els, i have a picture from back in summer when i first bought it and give it a good wash !


Iv just found a picture on my computer of an s3 with anthracite rims. might be someones on here if anyone knows.it does look good i have to admit !
 
black wheels NEED some decent and constant tyre black/gloss....otherwise they end up looking total sh*t IMO
 
No not keen on the 'murdered' look, black on black is too much, a lighter shade of grey would look so much better.

Thats just my personal opinion though.
 
I've got black OZ Super Tourismos on my Noggy S3. Unfortunately I don't have any piccies I can post. Also got black grill and black rings front & Rear.
 
not an s3 i know but its my black t sport with gloss black rims, i really think it needed the red calipers/decals/wheel nuts to break up the black but imo it worked really well
as animal said you gotta black the tires every couple of days else it does look really gash:

Get some 18" Matt black Team Dynamic equinox, has a stainless steel lip so helps break up the black.
 
oooooh no thats sounds awful sorry mate..... worked on a the C4 rally car but only cos thats a bag a sh*t to start with.... a **** on the windscreen would have done it more justice
 
Yeah... thanks for that :) I have been thinking about it for a while and can't decide, my brother thinks it would look awesome as he is a fan of the integras.
 
lol, yeah, i cant really just spray mine, ive got crappy 17" avus. So i shall wait untill I need new tyres before buying 18" rims
 
19! Are you on standard suspension or is it lowered? And how hard is the ride?
