I want to change the colour of my brake calipers but dont know what colour to go for. the car is volcano black with gloss black team dynamics pro race 1.2 wheels! I was thinking red, but it is very common and want something a bit different.
any ideas? Green? orange?

Cheers

Liam

Im a firm fan of black/ silver or gold.
Unless you have 4/6/8 pots which you want to show off.

the calipers are black at the minute.
just want something a bit different! i did have bright yellow calipers on my old 2.0 nova, that was dark green and looked really good with the calipers being a bright colour

I like black but how bouts with the s3 logo on them? Someone has donethem n they look nice. Not ott.

silvers too standard for me :D

also regarding the black with s3 logo....mines an a3... but still could work

do em pink with green stripes, thats not standard

Any photos? I need to do the ones on my S3 (Nogaro Blue), I'm thinking anthracite but I've been thinking about putting some logos on them once theyre painted. Where do you get them from? I had a look on eBay but nothing special came up :sadlike:

Im tempted to get mine adonised, as a place not far from me does electroplating and adonising...

I got mine painted red i know its really common but my car is nogro blue matches the s3 logos blue would have been to vauxhall astra vxr!!!

I'm really feeling green now, i reckon it will look good

Can't remember who had the pics just remember as I was thinking to do the same thing. If it's an a3 could always get the Audi rings on the calipers that looks k also.

Think i'm going to go GREEN :D
Can always repaint them if i dont like them

could somebody photoshop some different colours of caliper on a black a3/s3 with black multispoke alloys please?

Silver looks awesome behind black wheels, had black Pro Race 1.2's on my old 306 and it works so well.

I got red with Audi rings sticker on them, i think looks great as my car is black, they really stick out and with Audi rings on them look at least semi professional :)

i did have bright yellow calipers on my old 2.0 nova,

Its all starting to make sense now lol.

My S3 came with yellow calipers. The first thing I did was to paint them gloss black!

Coloured calipers are chav, unless they are AP, Brembo, Porsche or Wilwood, so my advice would be to clean them and either paint them silver or black.

That said if you do decide to paint them a lairy colour or put stickers on them claiming they are something they are not then why not go the whole hog and buy some Brembo caliper covers, they look the nuts - then afterwards you may be interested in the Peco Bigbore4 i've got hanging in my shed from the 90's lol

i have to disagree on the whole chav comment, but each to their own. however i do think its a bit chavvy when people paint their rear drums bright red! lol. Nowhere in this thread have i said i was going to sticker the calipers up as something their not though! i just thought it would be good to have something out of the ordinary and to make to the car a little unique.
Why would i want brembo brake covers and a peco exhaust if i paint my calipers? quite happy with my brakes and miltech thanks :D

I need to give mine a spruce up as they're looking tatty. I'll be doing mine black though, cant be doing with bright brakes!

IMO gloss black looks clean and not too tacky
