Mines going very slowly (if at all) and making a clicking/knocking noise. Can anyone point me in the right direction as obviously the search isn't working. Please and thank you in advance
mine used to do this through lack of voltage, turned out to be the connector, accessible by taking out the glovebox..... other than that id be changing the unit
Just been out and took the glove box off, removed and refitted the fan plug and checked the other plug on the orange module on the climate pack.
It now works again, on all settings hot, cold, aircon, fan speeds etc. Left the glove box off so I can make sure it works on the way to work and back tomorrow.
You're welcome :icon_thumright:
Like animal said you will probably have to do it again in a few weeks, I found that if i kept the top part of the clip clipped in and pulled the bottom part out it worked properly then just taped it in place.
Had the glove box off for about a week now, but still kept having problems with it stopping. There was obviously a dodgy connection somewhere as wiggling the plug caused it to turn on and off. I couldn't see anything wrong with the actual plug so decided that it was the fan itself.
I took the fan out for a closer look and discovered that one of the 'spades' was slightly loose. I stripped the motor down, (although I think you could do it without stripping it maybe) and resoldered the joint with the flame off my gas soldering iron. Melted a bit of the plastic surround but no harm done.
The spade is now secure and once all back together I cannot make the fan stop by wiggling the plug so I reckon it's sorted. Will leave the glovebox off till the weekend to make sure though.
