Was interested so sent the seller this question:-

"My Qusetion?, whats that then?

The question was a simple one to which you responded with a sarcastic and pointless response.

I asked why are you selling:-

Are you selling because you have sold the car and removed the lights?

Are you selling because you have stolen the lights from someone elses car?

Are you selling because you have been given them?

Are you selling because they are broken or faulty?

Are you selling them because you cannot afford to get them fitted yourself?

Simple responses there to a perfectly simple question.

Does it matter why he's selling them?
As long as they aren't faulty or stolen. And it's not like he's going to tell you if they have been nicked. He's also said they are in a ready to fit condition, so as good as saying they aren't faulty.

Does it really matter if they are from a car he's sold, or can't afford to fit them himself, etc etc???
It's no biggie him having to answer your question, but receiving a blunt one line question "Why are you selling them" he probably felt like you were implying they are stolen or something is dodgy.

Seems like a pointless argument from nothing to be honest.

Its not a pointless question and anyone experienced with ebay will understand.

I have asked the same question many times and sometimes i have had sellers slip up and plainly admit that an item they are selling as working or in good condition is in actual fact faulty or not quite as described.

If someone is selling a car and you go to look at it, are you teling me you never ask them why they are selling?

Especially if that car was almost new with low mileage, would'nt you be curious?

I know it's irrelevant now, but all this forwards and backwards of mails is time wasting, and if you look at it from a sellers point of view, you are wasting his time, just as he is wasting yours. I would have got the answers much swifter over the phone, and possibly not gone with the trouble of even posting this on here. I'm not having a dig at you Dazmo, but there's always 2 sides to a story, and receiving a message with "Why are you selling them", I would probably send the same reply as him. Guess that make me a c**k then... though I wouldn't have continued the conversation after your 2nd message.
