Hi,

I have recently fitted 6K Hid kit on my vehicle, they required error cancellors they are white with very small tint of blue. I need some matching side lights, my mates R32 have the perfect match IMO the link to that bulb he bought is:
http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/uh6w25w-....html?osCsid=904c64cfade7d832bb4d517317483f15

A. Is this the corrct fitment?
B. Will I need error cancellor for these too? :(

Lastly, if there any other bulb I could buy that wouldn't require an error cancellor that product a bright white color.

Thank you

I bought the 9 LED ones before the 15 LED ones became available, mine are approaching three years old.

If I was doing it again i would go with the 15's - there are some pics posted on here quite recently in one of the HID threads iirc.

I think I have found it, however pictures do no justice they always look alot more blue then they really are. I want it more or less bright white. Has it been confirmed that the 15s are also error free?

I'll order these now, do I add 2 to the basket or is it a pair sorry to sound daft :(

From memory you will need to order two.

I don't think that anyone who has fitted them has bulb warnings, but I cant confirm that.

However the 9 tower one you use have been fine without any errors?

The 15 tower seem to be out of stock as it says delay in delivery so ill carry out more research till then and wait for somebody to maybe confirm the 15 towers has't given them a problem.

if anybody knows what the equivalent ones are for the factory HID's (which have different sidelights), it would be very much appreciated!

i fitted 15 tower a while ago and it's all good apart of at first i found it too blueish for my liking but now i think it's grown on me still not 100% but getting there. they come in ones so get yourself two

okay... starting to answer my own question here:

Sidelamp bulb for HID-equipped cars - H6W -12Volts 6Watt
Sidelamp bulb for halogen-equipped cars - W5W -12Volt 5Watt

So, I guess the W5W equivalent are the ones that are the 15LED mini tower ones linked earlier (LINK).... so I'm guessing these are the H6W (LINK)'s.... which are the same as the other bulbs that are linked by Amir first (so I guess the HID kitted A4's use the same as R32's?).... but the problem is they'll only draw 2.5Watt, so I'm guessing that's not enough current draw and will suffer from the bulb errors?

edit: That said, even the 15LED towers only draw 0.13A, so <2W (1.56W @ 12V), so only a third of the regular sidelamp current \nd wattage... so will the 2.5W H6W's work alongside factory Xenons?

I jsut don't like this on their site:
Please Note - if these bulbs fail to light up or flash you may have to install a small load Resistor to fool the car into thinking you have a standard working bulb in the system - Use the quick find on the bottom left of the site for the part "Loadb" £7.49 per pair

For S4 owners with the H6W sidelight fitment:

I bought these and so far so good as far as DIS errors are concerned (I've only driven it twice since fitting).

The LEDs are whiter than the projectors but it looks OK. Sidelights on their own are extremely bright (for sidelights).

Fitting was easy; even with a V8 in the way - nearside you can do without any hassle, offside you'll probably need to remove the air duct but that's just two screws and a little wiggling.

9 towers arrived fitted .. no problems no errors look nice.. they fit in nicely, look hell of alot better.. personally i prefer 9 as its not too bright i woudln't want it to light up the whole headlamp :)thank you james

I've ordered mine this morning... I'll let you know how I get on: all Factory Xenon's need H6W's, whether A4/S4.... I was looking at the "180 LED" ones from aceparts on eBay, but decdided against it... when I asked if they would work in a 2001-2005 model Audi A4, they started asking about onboard computers... and then when I said "i'm pretty sure they all have sensors for failing lights that aren't drawing current", they said "just order and we'll send out resistors if required"....eeek...

Don't stress Mystik - I know that just 'cos yours worked, there's no guarantee mine will too, but at least I've got one informed vote for those ones!

Not just a pretty face eh :hi:

BEFORE and AFTER (no prizes for guessing which):

BEFORE and AFTER (daytime pics):

Full front of the car:

Tools required:

Philips (cross-head) screw driver - for the 2x screws next to the charcoal-filter.
Stubby flat head screw driver - for popping the plug off.
T-27 torque-head, with an extension (see pic)
Also good to have a small pair of needle-nose pliers (for pulling the bulb-holder holder out)

edit: and if you missed my previous post: these are the ones that Myystik vouched for... runs fine on mine too - no errors!

I want some LED sidelights too, but i'm just concerned about them looking too blue because I don't have HID's. Has anyone tried the 9 or 15 ones without HID's? It just might look a bit gay and chany that's all :(

they don't look that blue at all... almost pure white... in the case of mine, I tink they make the factory fitted (4300K) HID's look slightly LESS blue... 'cos they're all the same colour now... previously there was this messed up white/yellow thing happening... now they're pure white...

I bought a set again for a 57 plate A3... error came up and flicker out :(

I have just attempted to fit the 15 LED bulbs you recommend on my 2005 A3. They show a DIS error and switch off after approx 1.5 minutes. Can anybody tell me what value resistor should be used and should it be fitted in series or parallel? The LEDs are quoted as having a 2W power draw which is 3W less than the filament bulbs. That results in them drawing 0.25A less than the filament bulbs so a 48 ohm resistor would be required. That's my calcs and I'm not an electrician, it seems to be quite high. The bulbs were supplied by UltraLeds.co.uk who offered to take them back but didn't suggest a fix to get them working.
