Steering KNUCKLE / ARM???

Hi im new to this and have little mechanical know how, can anyone explain to me what the above is as iv been trying to get hold of one and no one seems to know what im talking about. or is it called something else. Iv got a crake on mine iv been told......

its part of the hub bearing etc iv been told.

The item that attaches to the hub bearing housing is known as a track rod end.

a cv joint ??? thats the bit that goes into the center of the brake disc bit

Who told you that you had a crack in it? surely if they can spot a crack they can identify a part on your behalf?

from your steering rack you have your track rod on the end of which is your track rod end (although audi refer to it as tie rod and tie rod end..), this track rod end connects to your wheel bearing housing.

I think you should have another chat with whoever spotted it and told you.
