Cadbury's

Terrible news. Sell-Out Britain it should be called.

I met one of the members of the Cadbury family in Afghan. He was in charge of a troop I was attached to over Christmas. On Christmas morning he pulled out a box of cigars of varying types apparently worth a few grand. He wasn't too happy with me as I chose the most expensive one in the box :drag:

Looks like we are going to be having full fat choccies now!!!!

I was getting excited reading that... thought it would go something along the lines of him pulling out a 100% pure smokable chocolate cigar.

:lmfao: no sorry buddy it was a real one!

I'm going to the factory shop tomorrow

Apparently it's a huge site, a great shame it's happened imo :(

Krafty B@st@rds, they are like 2 miles from where I'm working now, took junior for a tour over the summer hols, hope nothing dramtically changes under American ownership, we already lost Longbridge/Rover over here.

Weetabix went a couple of years ago too don't forget. They should remove that royal warrant!

I can't see them making massive changes to the brand TBH. Probably just make things more efficient and lend Cadbury's the Kraft marketing budget ;-)

Did you see they had to borrow 7 billion to make the bid!

yep saw that they needed to borrow that much, if they aint got themoney, then why get involved??

Also, apparently, in the UK, a chocolate bar must contain 20% cocoa to make it a chocolate, however in the US of A, it only needs to be 10%!!!

So i therefore retract my earlier comment about the full fat choccies...unless they actually do fill it with FAT!!!

Yeah but that's just the way business works, borrowing money. It's quite common as far as i know for that to happen. Just a shame that the americans did it :p I wonder if we'll get jerky flavoured chocolate now?

Well, I just had a Cadbury's Freddo for old times sake, get them whilst they are still British, then boycott when they become Kraftbury's.

Are we going to get some new products - chocolate covered singles cheese slices anyone?

If your on the A14 near Kettering/Northampton about 9pm most evenings you can smell weetabix from the factory...
