Hello,

I was looking at buying some leather seats for my sportback. The seats I'm looking at have the door cards too, but they have the black finish, rather than the wood in my card. If I were to get these, is there any way I could swap the inserts on the doors? A guide would be lovely!

Do you think £500 is about right for full leather?

Thanks in advance

Have I misread this, or are you saying you actually want to keep the wood trim!?

Yes the door inserts trim come off easily. The black piano trim is much better than the walnut IMO. But you can swap them no probs. Will just need a wedge and pull them out, be careful not to scratch them. Price is good aswell providing they are in good nic and dont have big bolster craters

Ahh that sounds great! What do you mean by a wedge, a special tool? Is the insert held on by clips, screws? If so, where roughly are they?

Thanks for this!

Just get a small screwdriver under the edge of the trim & slowly, very slowly lift it up & it should start to pop of easily then rest use your fingers to lift of, the gearstick surround lifts up from some pressure clips, best bet is to pull the leather gaitor up & this is held in place by some plastic locators but comes of fairly easily, then can get the surround of by pulling up on slowly corner at a time.

Someone has just sent me a message on ebay saying they are interested in the piano black trim bits off the door, what price should I offer him for all four?
