Help needed for upgrading my front grill

firstly guys/girls hello this is my 1st of what will be many posts on here.

I have got a '54' 2.0TDI SE 3dr that I picked up in November and love it but have got some changes on the cards. Need some advice, I have the following grill:

And want one of these on instead:

Now I know I will need to replace the front bumper but will I also need to replace the bonnet?

ye mate you will need new bonnet, otherwise bonnet lines won't match up with grill

New bonnet, new slam panel but I think you can modify the existing one, new bumper - I would recommend an s-line front if you are going the whole hog!

Or! If you want to on a budget, vinyl wrap the chrome around the twin grill - I did this to my 04 TDI Sport and it came out very well!

can the new grill be put onto a '53' A3 easily? or do i need to do alot or get dirrerent bumpers????

1st of all the reinforcement bar can be adjusted with a grinder or hacksaw to fit around the newer single grill bumpers, 2nd the 53 place is double grill, so you would need a new bumper minimum for the newer grill.

i wouldnt like to take a hacksaw to my lover! roughly how much is a new bumper.....plus i know not alot about this moddin game and would a garage/shop do it for me as im not 'hands on'

Keep the old grill there wont be many of us left with the double grill as everyone one wants to mod im double grill and proud
