Hello

I believe it was V6Pete that brought this to most peoples attention a few weeks back, i know its a bit of a chavvy make but it actually looks well engineered, i like the fact that its a dry filter and looks very OEM, but obviously as its brand new there doesnt seem to be any reviews or noted gains from it.

Its the top of my list if i go down the CAI route after my remap, anyone else tempted?

I find it difficult to see the point when a panel filter will probably be just as good for £30 and be a lot quieter ?

panel filter can't be good as proper CAI.:whistle2:

Are you in some way connected to that tuning show navnayyar???

It's just every post i see of yours is related to gettting there website up!

lol no dude, just that they are my local tuning company and I get all my work done there, so nice to show some appreciation. I have asked them many times to advertise on here as a sponsor and as far as I know ASN admin have not got back to them:happy:

there meant to be pretty good, with some good proven dyno results and hard to get hold of at the moment. However my mates getting one fitted tomorrow from:
http://www.fr-rtuning-shop.co.uk/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=841
il try to get some pics and vid

Thanks for that, by the way i have been searching for a decent REVO dealer not too far from Leeds and found this company in Bradford last night - im guessing your gonna recommend them? its between them, Prosport in Stockport or Votex in Congleton, Bradford is obviously nearer so might give them a call tomorrow.

Let me know how your mate gets on

CAI will be better on a turbo i suppose but i assume he has a 3.2 as Pete put him on to it in which case a panel filter will be fine. The cat will restrict before the Air filter on a 3.2

I did post some info on the Venom, but not for the 3.2 - it's a new kit for the S3. I said I'd post some info up on here for my mate at Pipercross

I'm pretty sure the kit has only just been released in the last few days, probably why there's no reviews, etc. yet other than on the first car it was developed on. I'm sure there will be more soon.

My apologies Pete, got my lines crossed then :)

It's all good!

But you're right with the 3.2, the induction kit on mine gives a great induction roar, but no noticeable power increase. Not sure if due to the cat restricting, or just that the air box on the 3.2 is very large with a big intake, so not a lot can be done to improve. On the 2.0T, the standard intake is really restrictive, so you see a lof of mid range power increase from a kit on them.

Yep Paddy ive got an S3 SB, getting my forge DV fitted tomorrow, then REVO stage 1 in the next few weeks then will probably wait the CAI out a bit longer to see if any reviews start appearing

Bit off topic but does anyone know if the forge DV makes any of that chatter noise when gearing? ive read mixed posts on this - my last S3 had it and didnt make that sound, but then again it was an 07 and the older forge unit, not too keen on the sound myself.

P.S The forge DV is the vacuum operated valve and not the blow off one

Thanks

you need CAI if you want noise. i've got CAI with OEM dv and it makes great noise. but forge DV and CAI makes even better noise together.

Hey

Sounds nice and looks very neat, can you feel any difference in performance? and are you gonna try get a replacement engine cover?

We've sold a lot of the Venom's for the 2.0T FSi with really good response. It's a quality bit of kit and Pipercross really are trying to move away from the chav image.

Damian - have you got any power graphs for the Venom on the S3?
