2001 A3 tdi 130 SE dash swop

Hi all, just got 2001 A3 TDi 130 SE, it has no cruise (no switch on indicator stalk & no computer functions on dash (no switch on wiper stalk) can i fit dash with OBC display mpg miles to empty etc and what is needed to do this, plug & play would be too easy, same with cruise, are A3s pre wired ? searched until me eyes bled but still no wiser

The easy answer is sadly already answered by yourself, it is not plug and pray.

It will be a rewire job to put the DIS on it, then coding to enable the Cruise once you have installed the hardware and wires required.

Many Thanks, find it really strange, had a couple of MK4 golfs and both had MPG, av speed etc, and cruise as standard, this car is TDI 130 SE and does not even have outside temperature, so much for the SE tag, would have thought it would be a bit better equipped, seems everything must be an option when new----******

sadly Tim, on the A3 the DIS was very much an option, on both the sport and SE, cost about £200 I believe.....
